Last night was leftovers from the past few days.
Olive Gardens' Spaghetti w/ Meat Sauce and Chicken Gnocchi soup Popeye's Fried Chicken Mild Subway's Grilled Chicken Sub Taco Bell's Chicken Soft Taco My wife doesn't each much at each meal, but eats four to five times a day so she can take her medicine. So everything we order, there will be leftovers. I don't like to waste food, so every few days we do the leftover thing, sometimes for lunch if I am off. Since I work 10 to 12 hours a day, I don't get to cook that much anymore, so when I make Pork or Lamb Chops, Steaks, and Chicken; she gets irritated by the smell in the house, so we prefer to get takeout or now that restaurants are more open, we will eat out. |
Leftover breads with freshly pan-grilled salmon for dinner tonight. The prosciutto sandwich is from Baccanale while the cheese pizza is from Forno Campo de 'Fiori, one minute walk away! The salmon is bought fresh at Mercato Testaccio and cooked at home.

I ate an order of deviled eggs at the Arboretum bistro. They were bacon-y. We sat around the apartment after with bowls of candied cashews and peanut butter pretzels. No one wanted dinner.

Am going to be in trouble - having too much sugar loaded yummies .. some extremely delicious ones , especially the canalés & scones baked by a friend who has just returned to Belgium - literally just landed this being FlyerTalk . Some do get to fly across oceans to different continents after like a couple of years , AND thankfully with no quarantine on return 😊 .
Other cakes / pastries are by Tigerlily Patisserie .. even more cakes not shown are by Sinpopo ( only the brown rice one ) might add photos later , but think may have posted in other earlier meals like the Gula Melaka Cake . Take out tacos for lunch. One fish, one shrimp, and one goat. No issues adding toppings after the tacos were made.

Lunch at Zoe’s Kitchen. Chicken skewers with fruit and turmeric rice for me. Greek chicken pita for Mrs BV. And a giant chocolate chip cookie.

I found an ant invasion in the kitchen for the second time in exactly a year. After cleaning up and setting out bait, I’ve not wanted to go into the kitchen, let alone cook something. I had leftover spaghetti and asparagus for breakfast, so it didn’t sound appealing for dinner too. Thankfully, I have pizzas in the freezer.

Breakfast was Cheerios. I had to choose between strawberries, bananas or peaches on top. I went with strawberries because they’ll go bad quickest. OJ and iced coffee to wash it all down. English muffin with my sisters homemade strawberry jam on the side.
