The words are more appetizing than the photos. You should have stopped there. :D

When I try to post a pic with my phone and it ends up sideways or upside down, if I can't edit to display properly, I just delete it.

All is not bad. It gives me an excuse to consume another neat bourbon! Soon it will all make sense….

the mochi donut and matcha latte tasted better for typing. Definitely EV- to consume them.

I don’t know why they were upside down - tried again for the donuts.

Cucumber, celery, apple, lemon juice. I’m fasting, on day 4 now. This seems more appropriate for the beverage thread, but since this is my meal…

Had two Wise Bros everything bagels, toasted, with cream cheese and lox for breakfast. These are my first ever Wise bagels, and their everything seasonings are different from what I’m used to.

We recently tried Bat 17 in Evanston, and immediately fell in love with it. It's an homage to Zingerman's in Ann Arbor, and has a huge sandwich menu with an incredible devotion to quality. The regular sized sandwiches are huge, so I get two meals out of them...currently tucking into the second half of my "Roxy" -- chicken salad made with their own rotisserie chicken, with bacon and lettuce, on toasted, buttered challah (at least that's what I think the bread is). As a testament to the quality, I was able to disassemble the leftover sandwich and reheat the bread, then reassemble it. Oh, and the onion strings are as delicious and crispy when cold as when hot.

I would have a hard time eating at a place named BAT.

I honestly have no idea about the meaning behind the name. They're at 1709 Benson Ave. in Evanston. Maybe BAT = Bar and Tap + 17(09)? But seems like an odd designation for a sandwich restaurant, even one that does have a full bar.

I took my first wife to a favorite Mexican restaurant called La Cucaracha about 25 years ago, and she refused to eat there.
