more delta.com screwups
This morning I looked at some possible flights but didn't book anything. When I go back to do this, I'm told that my session has expired. I try to enter the data again for dates/route/time and get the same message. I log out and try again. Same message. I log back in. Same message. I log out and log my wife in. Same message. I give up on Firefox and go to Safari. I type in www.delta.com and it changes it to https://www.delta.com and says "Done" with nothing showing on the screen. I guess DL doesn't want my business.

Bad link?
I logged on today to check-in for my flight tomorrow morning. After I had successfully checked-in and went to print my boarding pass, out of curiosity, I clicked the link that was to describe e-boarding pass procedures. That link opens a new window titled "We're Cashless Onboard".

I had posted this in a separate thread previously, but now that I know it's indeed a bug...
I was attempting to book three award seats for family members. Once the departure and return were selected, I had to log in to continue. At that point, this message would appear above the passenger fields:
"Because this itinerary was created using Medallion availability, the names of the Medallion passengers can't be changed.
Medallion must be traveling to receive greater award seat availability."
This would happen whether I had logged in at the beginning of the search for seats or not. And I'm not even a Medallion! So I called Delta and was put through to web CS, and the rep got the same message when she tried to book a seat using her own account. Which too, was not Medallion. She put the seats through for me, but had no idea why this happening or when it would be resolved.

Gate Upgrade List Issue
I'm not sure if this qualifies for this forum but it is certainly a Delta IT issue.
I am a medallion member and get e-mail upgrade notifications fairly often. However, if I don't get upgraded in advance, I watch the gate waitlist (like everybody else).
Here is the problem - for the past year or so, if I fail to get upgraded in advance I usually check upon bag check and I appear on the waitlist but when the flight gets passed to the gate I disappear from the upgrade list.
If I get there far enough in advance I can have the gate agent perform a little keyboard dance and I appear. But that is not always possible and I know that I have missed a couple of opportunities because of this.
Several calls to customer service (one that lasted two hours - talk time not hold time) have been unfruitful. An e-mail to CS garnered the usual reply (forwarded to appropriate department) and then nothing. Another e-mail inquiry resulted in the assurance that it was forwarded to IT but nothing yet. The problem has existed for about a year and the e-mail was sent months ago.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Does anyone have any suggestions for pursuing this and getting some results?
Thanks in advance for any input.

When doing Multi Search for Price it does it for Sched instead
I just recently booked a ticket for a multi-leg trip this summer. Luckily, I found the cheap price through kayak.com. I wanted to book on dl.com but it wouldn't let me.
I went to multi leg and plugged in my cities, DTW-NYC-GEG-DTW. I wanted it to sort by price but it never did it for me. I had to choose each segment by schedule. We all know that some flights can be more pricey than others so I always got a different amount and not always the cheapest. What I expected when I clicked on sort by "price" was dl.com give me the cheapest fare, it didn't.
Would this be a bug?

My iteniraries don't work anymore if I go to Traveling and Checkin > Itin & Checkin. I only see my 3 itins that I booked via delta.com with my non-TSA nazi name. My company TA books my tickets with my "papers please" Secure Flight name. (Only difference is they tag my middle name on).
These USED to show up before sometime in the last week or two. If I go to the home page > Itin & Checkin tab and then all my itins show up in the drop down. So you guys are using some sort of different logic for thse two methods.

I am planning to call Delta to get the II taken off my account as there is no way in AMEX travel to add in my Suffix.
Hope this helps

delta.com 'view upgrade list' bug
Here's a new one (for me). The earlier problem of "view upgrade list" after OLCI being blank has changed into erratic results. After checking in this morning, I went to look at a 3 segment itinerary, and no matter which segment I click on, I see the 2nd segment each time. Here's a screenshot,

I really don't care much about the DTW->MSP upgrade because I have an exit row aisle seat, but I would like to at least *see* the list for my MSP->ANC leg.

The issue that was causing it for me, our work travel website through CWT was booking the reservation with my middle name as D instead of A. With the names not matching, it was rejecting them from the upgrade. Oddly, it only happened if I did not clear in advance. I talked to 8 to 10 DL people (phone/airport/SC) and none of them had a solution.
Just some food for thought...

DL - Please fix the AWARD Calendar....
Fixing the calendar would make less calls, seems so small of a fix, yet the calendar is not reliable (according to DL call center employees).

"invalid" email address
This one has come up for me a couple times in various places. The most recent was when I clicked on the "update your contact info" link in an existing reservation:
E-mail address invalid
The e-mail address entered is invalid. This user ID (before the "@" symbol) must be at least two characters.
My email is "[email protected]". I assure you email addresses can be just a single character. You should validate email addresses based on the published RFCs, not what the developer thinks is reasonable.
