This will increase the price because to get 100% EQM on those segments they cannot be booked into deep discount economy.

It is turning out to be a frustrating morning.

Make sure you explain to them that you want them to book it on the VS code, not on the CO code for the flight. I'm betting that's the issue. There is no CO fare bucket that maps to VS PE service, but they should be able to sell you the VS coded flight on the phone. I know that I've had them add in DL coded segments on an itinerary.

If I didn't want to save money I could easily make Plat. :p

Make that Super-Duper-Titanium-Plated Plat

I still save 20% of my pre-tax income. I think its because of the pay increase when I moved from Houston despite rent being outrageous in NYC.

Edit to add: You are also married and I am not (yet). Im sure all this will change come June 20, 2009.

The VS PE fare codes (like W) all map to CO regular coach codes, so I would assume that a CO agent would have to manually pull the VS code when booking the VS flights, just as they would if you tried to buy an I fare on DL (another premium fare class that maps to a coach fare on CO). Is that possible?

I have such a love/hate with traveling for work. When I have more than 2 consecutive trips I want to gouge my eyes out.

When I occupado my office chair for more than 10 consecutive days I want to gouge my eyes out.

I think, what it comes down to, I hate my office but I love my bed.

So, where did you finally move to? Did you buy or rent the new place? After driving though the Heights a couple days ago, I wanted to move there. Found a great little garden/nursery center. When I get the itch to plant something, I'm headed there. Plus, a new Staples is opening next to the Target.^

It should be completely possible, as long as the agent understands that you are trying to book on the partner's code. The asymmetrical nature of the mappings is what screws things up. But the agent should be able to do it.

NW NBA Charters

My buddy the chef, who some of you met during my last mini-do, had a chance to tour one of the A319s that NW converted over to VIP use for the NBA charter package. He was primarily looking at the galley areas to determine what he needed to do to prepare meals for the players, but said the plane was really decked out nicely (and the pics on a.net prove it). I hope to get a peek sometime this season - even if it means carrying tins of food up the air stairs!

Given that this subfleet can and will be converted backwards for scheduled use, I wonder if CO might be able to do the same?

We moved to another rental in the Heights. It's more a condo which is fine, we just miss having a yard.

I can't wait for them to finish the Staple's.

If it's your buddy cooking, then those players are eating quite well in the air.

As is mine, even with all of the careful details that I retained for the past two years in my log book. Pre-log book will require activating some brain cells that are dormant or in a state of alcohol induced haze.

Yes, he will be cooking but they have a pretty bland list of essentials for each flight. PB & J type essentials.

He is also cooking at the Super Bowl this year, which is a great accomplishment and acknowledgment for his hard work. Granted, I am being nice to him because he cooked us a ginormous pile of king crab legs for the game last sunday, but he really is a talented guy.

I feel that way when I have more than two consecutive weeks I don't travel for work, which is very rare.

I got to spend a day seeing the LH Technik conversion facility for commercial aircraft to be used for private flying.

In a word: whoa.
