Seems like it has come really fast. I called CO and they show our reservations as 2A and 2B. The seatmap shows 2F which makes me think something is wrong with the automated upgrade system. |

Congratulations to Hartmann on tomorrow and to rolov for Box Post #8,000. We're creeping up on the DL Lounge Thread.

I'm already flying ATL-MKE-DFW on YX to use up my YX miles before they become totally useless to get me to Texas for the August Astros Do. I had planned on just flying CO down to IAH for the weekend. However, I've got this WN free ticket I need to use before it expires, and seeing as WN doesn't serve ATL, and I really don't know when I'll have a chance to use it, I looked to see what I could do to get me from DAL to HOU on August 15, instead of just flying CO. But a simple DAL-HOU roundtrip is boring and a terrible waste of a free ticket. And, as WN flies to a number of airports I've never been to, is it totally crazy of me to do the following?
Thursday: ATL-MKE-DFW on YX, spend the night in Dallas (which was going to happen anyway; I need the stay at a Marriott to help complete a promotion) Friday: DAL-STL-CMH (new airport)-STL-HOU on the free WN ticket; get to Houston in plenty of time to have dinner and hang out with friends that evening; get in two more Marriott nights to wrap up my stays needed for the promo Saturday: Beer/Tacos/Astros Do Sunday: Fly back to DAL/DFW on CO; get a Starwood stay in Monday: Make the return on YX to ATL -- and then get on a plane a few hours later to BTR for work Am I totally insane? The good thing is I'll only pay for the IAH-DAL/DFW flight on Sunday, and I'll get another 10,000 Marriott bonus points, plus a bunch of Starwood points, plus use up some YX miles and a WN ticket that otherwise would probably go to waste. |

Though, asking this question in the box will yield biased answers. :D |

I read through your list looking for something I thought was insane and I came up with nothing. Go for it! ^
