Ways to alleviate boredom #237:

Obtain one hair-dryer and a tan, wide-brimmed hat. Then rent either a white Crown Vic or Grand Marquis from Hertz (they have an ample selection of Fords). Proceed to the nearest highway overpass, then park in the median, roll down the window, and point the hair-dryer at oncoming traffic. Enjoy.

Is this what you do up there in Spring when you're bored? Play DPS officer under an overpass over the North Freeway?

I think The Box should descend en masse on a certain Casino in ACY at some point.

I could be up for that.

I'm all too happy to put something together. It could possibly be in conjunction with the Devils Do, or something totally separate. I don't want to bite off more than I can chew, as I have no Do experience larger than three people besides me for the time being. That's in two weeks and is relatively easy for me because I do foursomes and dinner practically in my sleep thanks to the job.

Well you know, a good concierge is willing to be of service in just about any way possible. ;)

I had the pleasure of being detained by Canadian immigration officials today. They didn't seem to understand why someone would go to YOW for a weekend on their own. The questioned me about all sorts of things (including demand to know how much I make!) for about 20 minutes and then let me go.

In Europe, that's called "asking for extra pillows" (read: hookers, rent boys, etc.) In Atlantic City, it's informally known as "Trump Plaza". When I was a front desk agent, I worked at a place that had a large lobby bar. During the grave shift, we used to play "Spot the Pimp". There were tons of guys at the bar tables, and the key was to see which ones had multiple quick meetings. South Jersey pimps don't dress as pimps are known to.

Maybe all of the "Eh?" jokes, corny exchange rate references, lack of a military jokes, anti-French cracks, and other lovely tidbits have caught up to us. Even if that's true, all those categories of jokes are still funny...pretty much only because it's Canada. Blame Canada, blame Canada....

Even if it is nice, I'm not sure that it would be $40 nice. And supposedly the price is going up, but I haven't heard any more details on that. Then again, a steak and a couple drinks and you'd do all right for the money.
