I'm holding off on purchasing tickets for now. The price for IAH-AMS; BRU-EWR-IAH on those dates is $887 all-in at the moment. If oil keeps dropping, and as winter low season approaches, I suspect there will be lower fares offered on the route by about October. If all else fails, I'll just use miles. No way I'm paying $900 for TATL in January.

That is very odd. Though, it looks like there will be plenty of seats open up front with only 3/16 booked so far.
This weekend is the big day - huh? :) Yep tomorrow is the big day! Seems like it has come really fast. I called CO and they show our reservations as 2A and 2B. The seatmap shows 2F which makes me think something is wrong with the automated upgrade system. |

I booked my standard reward tix now since they are available and I can always cancel them for free while I'm still a platinum. If the fares come down to anywhere ~$400 or less I'll almost certainly change mine from a reward to a revenue and will consider it for +1 as well.
I just hate the thought of spending 75k of my precious miles! :D Especially when they will probably be needed for a (RTW?) honeymoon likely to take place in fall of 2009. |

Alright go ahead and start laughing at me... The person upgraded is my other half. I forgot that mileage upgrades showed up on the list. :D

If you are booking RTWs, I would suggest getting it done before the year's end. I wouldn't be surprised to see CO raise its RTW redemption levels to match *A (much higher). Also, if still booking with SkyTeam, you might be able to work in some nice Soviet aircraft on SU.
Congrats, as well! |

We'll let it slide this time as I am sure you have countless other things on your mind today! |
