I'd like for my 94 Civic to make it that far (currently at 143K miles), but I'm probably going to sell it this month. After 15 years, it is probably time to get a new car, even though the Civic runs superbly.

Plus, by selling it, I don't have to shell out $1200 for new tires, a new timing belt, the regular 150K mileage check-up, a new inspection sticker, and an oil change (which it hasn't had in over a year, since I only drive around 60 miles a week).

2x reward seats just opened up on the DL 77L from ATL-ICN! ^

+1, and you can often use a coupon to get it down to under $20.

I have a car now that I will only have serviced at the dealer, so the oil changes are about $60 with a coupon. But, I budgeted that into the cost of the car when I purchased it and, in any event, only change the oil once a year given that I drive it less than 3K miles/year.

Told you that they would. Grab them quickly.

The EWR-ATL flight leaves at 6:00am. I'm going to grab them anyway. The lie flat seats + getting to ICN 13 hours earlier is worth the very early start and connection.

If DL does a last minute equipment swap, I won't be happy.

Yup - that's how I was in Baton Rouge. When you get into a hot car and turn on the AC full blast, it's going to blow HOT AIR at you, so I just got in the habit of not doing that, putting the windows down, and getting at least fast-moving air...which more often than not, especially for short trips, was fine...

I did my first oil change earlier this month :D - though it was on tjtenor4's Jeep, which made the process much easier than doing it on my own car for the simple reason that you didn't have to jack the thing up to crawl underneath it. I don't have jack stands, and as y'all said, the price differential vs. time is small enough that I think I'll continue to pay to have mine done...but it's very satisfying to see for yourself actually what happens/how it works, isn't it?

Most do. They all are supposed to. Sadly, I've tried 3x and come up empty each time. I'm considering making an appointment within 14 days of my trip at the end of August and doing it in person here, but I'm not sure how feasible that is.

Change from JFK-ICN to EWR-ATL-ICN is complete! ^

CO 1E - any seat recommendations? I'm guessing the A side would be best when traveling with someone else?

Contract signed and deposit signed for wedding ceremony and reception. :-:

On the beach for $500. (facility fee. Actual costs all-in will, of course, be much more.)

Much, much more. But it's all worth it. :)

Unfortunately sometimes the reality of time gets the better of me and I just relent and take it in to an oil swap shop. I bring them my own synthetic oils and filters though. And watch to make sure they actually use it.

It definitely is worth the early departure. You'll be glad you did it once you make use of the lie-flat seats.
