If only to pass out again after the tour. :)

I got to try Bacardi Limon before they released it in the States. I was 16 at a courtesy bar. Nuff said.

A lot of people  at Puerto Rico, but I really enjoy it. I love Old San Juan, and the Sheraton there is perfectly placed to explore that part of town, and to enjoy a view of cruise ships from your balcony...

That ship shot is unreal. ^^

I would go back, for my standard Caribbean reasons of golf and shopping. Since I missed Old San Juan, I would definitely spend a day doing that...but I would stick to my chain loyalty and do an HH property.

The Hilton Caraibes is actually a nicer property than the Sheraton. It is not as conveniently located, though, as it is at the far end of Viejo San Juan.

That photo was with my old digital camera... a Sony Mavica MVC-CD1000. It wrote photos to mini-CD-Rs, made lots of noise, but could definitely do interesting things on long exposures. Sadly, at 2.1 megapixels, it just wouldn't capture the fine detail that I wanted.

My crystal ball says there WILL be EUAs on LAX-HNL on at least the 739.

After requesting a significant number of champagnes at the Palms' brunch yesterday, the waitress brought my best friend champagne in a pint glass, full pour. Simultaneously sweet but wrong on multiple levels at the same time.

wrong is not leaving the bottle.

For those wondering, I was able to take the SPG offer for Gold status and CO miles and then merge it with a SPG account I already had and change it to earn Starpoints rather than miles.

I started out slow and ordered $500 of Andrew Jackson coins. Product page says that coins are available to ship as of 16 July, but the order confirm email says that the coins are in stock. Which one to believe?

I just requested my status match on NWA and am hoping they honor the 10,000 bonus miles for my Delta JFK-ZRH flight;)

The way I read it is coins are in stock but shipping first to others who ordered ahead of you.

That makes sense.

At $500 or $1,000 per billing cycle on my AmEx (with the MR point transfer to CO) for the foreseeable future or until my bank starts to loathe me walking in the door, this will be a considerable bump to my reward ticket goal. Really should have started much sooner.
