Morning, Box. The week of aimless driving ends today. It started with EWR to the fiancee's house on Christmas morning, then from her house back to the exit after EWR for her extended family's Christmas party. After the party it was Exit 14 back down to the Shore to my house, and tonight it's back up to EWR to fetch my mother from CO. Meh. I've become the navigator from The Hunt for Red October - he said that with a stopwatch and a map, he could fly the Alps in a plane with no windows. I think if I had a stopwatch and a map, I could black out the car windows and still make it to EWR in one piece.

I am heading off to Europe my time here may be limited the next couple weeks, see ya!

I had no issues with co.com email receipts / confirmations yesterday. Received the EUA notice overnight too. ^

For the FM/OF line junkies out there, here's an interesting one I just stumbled upon in the USA:South forum in the Travel & Dining section.

There are two competing carriers - Wings and Georgia Skies - that are plying the skies between Atlanta, Athens and Macon. Flights are operated on Cessna aircraft, and all flights are $39 until the end of the year. Had I known about this 2 weeks ago I would've done it when I went to ATL.

I bought one of those wire and chrome triple picture frames from Target last night. Chrome bar, double-sided glass hanging. 2 5x7 and 1 8x10. Seeing as how the interior decorator known as my fiancee redid the room to be more Devils-themed on the walls than anything, we found three of my most excellent Marty Brodeur shots to put in the frames. The most exciting part of this is that I sent the prints to Costco. I've heard that their photo processing is excellent; we shall see.

I have been having co.com issues for at least the last few days. One of my reservations simply disappeared on Friday, and I had to call web support to have it reinstated.

A moment of insanity, plus high airfares, made me decide to just drive it.

My experience with Mesaba's Saabs is that they are usually infinitely nicer inside than Colgan's. And they have a different design to the overhead bin door that makes it easier to get bags in and out.

Flying LAX IAH today; hope LAX isn't too bad. Major family drama; bil and gf had a huge fight yesterday on her bday. SIL and I spent way too much time w her at a wine bar following our relaxing Thai massage which led to a drunk bl!! Yikes.

:D That may have started it. After hours at the wine bar, we could only ascertain that they had been fighting over no real reason but she went on and on about how he doesn't communicate and blah blah blah; tears, tears tears and why she would come to us is beyond me.

I had an interesting one two nights ago. Made a reservation for CLE-LGA and put it on hold to ensure my schedule was clear. Fortunately, had a copy of the receipt with confirmation number. Came back the next day to purchase the thing and the reservation was ...gone. Called the plat line and they found it by the confirmation number, but the agent said that I had to purchase it within 3 hours of making the reservation. He relented (after a 5 minute discussion with his supervisor) after I read from the e-mail the T&C's for purchasing the ticket. I will be interested to know if they charged me $20 for using the agent to resurrect this reservation. :confused:
