NOTE, this wiki may have some broken links, so please bear with us for a week or do until we get round to the less than glamorous task of checking them all.

This thread gives the current catering options for the LHR T5 Concorde Room (all day) and First Dining Room within the LHR T3 Galleries First lounge (after 18:30). Eligible passengers include BA First ticket holders, Premier and Concorde Room cardholders. The catering in both lounges is supplied by BaxterStorey, who took over the contract on 2 May 2013.

The current catering options in the LHR CCR can be found in the first post in the thread, or you can click here. In addition, there are a selection of
- bar snacks, details found in post 7 or you can click here
- teas list, details found in post 68 or you can click here
- drinks list, details found in post 69 or you can click here
- cocktails list, details in this separate thread click here

There are also photo guides (updated with October menus) which you can see in the following linked posts:

I mean in countries like Singapore or Malaysia, bacon can easily refer to non-pork products like turkey bacon or beef bacon (shudder)

When does lunch start at the LHR CCR?

Any idea what time the switch is from breakfast to lunch?

11:45. There's a bit of leeway both sides, for example you can have an omelette any time.

What time would you say is the earliest that one could order from the lunch menu?

About 11:30 you should be able to order most items on the lunch/dinner menu.

I agree but would add that it depends on how busy they are. I think that when things are fairly quiet, I've been able to order lunch stuff at 11.30 but equally, on busy/hectic days I've heard staff politely and apologetically tell passengers at 11.45 that they would have to wait a bit longer to order from the all day menu as the kitchen was still working hard on breakfasts.

So while 11.30 is a good indication of the time one can start asking, it is important for occasional visitors to understand and accept that the "official" time is still 12pm and that any request coming before that comes as a favour/exception and may be politely denied especially when the breakfast service is still very busy.

There's a chap who has sat next to me at the bar two or three times in late afternoon/evening who apparently always orders the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, they oblige every time. Within reason the staff is usually happy to be flexible and help out.

The first day I arrived in the Midlands I was asked if I "would like some chicken duck". It definitely pays to be culturally aware...

Personally, I'd prefer a bold duck.

Are you sure? It’s more than likely you we asked: “Would you like some chicken m’duck?” where m’duck is an impersonal greeting used equally to men and women.

Yes there is a new menu, it changes at the start of every month. Basically the changes are:

Asparagus ham & poached egg replaced by mezze platter
Steak replaced by lemon & garlic marinated chicken
Halloumi and lentil salad replaced by vegetable buddha bowl
Lemon meringue torte replaced by strawberry custard tart

I will post some photos of the new menu when I am next in and get some photos of the new dishes too.

EDIT: menus

Pretty sure
I've lived here now for over 30 years. Duck and ducks without the m' is now common.
m'duck would probably only be used by those speaking like "May un Mar Lady" which despite it's sound is not about Aung san suu kyi but a popular comic round these parts representing a dwindling regional ethnicity, a sort of Andy Capp.
But we digest...

Whilst I feel sorry about the three of the four changes described above (but then I'm in favour of change, so gracefully accept that at times it means welcoming stuff I like, at other times, it can also mean losing stuff I enjoyed) I am very much looking forward to the strawberry custard tart which I believe is a "true" newcomer (as in I don't remember seeing it before at all!)
