I've only done 4 sectors in this seat but my own personal experiences have been that there is definitely less foot traffic in the 17C/H area than the exit row further back which has the downside of the toilets there.

A good set of ear plugs/headphones will silence any noise and of course you'll be off the plane a little quicker too!

Here is a picture from the BA Dashboard which shows 10A. You can see out of it but you do have to lean a bit forward.

allturnleft and LCSinTexas like this.

Sixth Freedom did a mini report on this which you can read here. There is a full window blank here so you'd have to lean way forward and I personally wouldn't choose it.

777-300 (77W) CW seats window alignment

If you have a look at this video here you will see at 5:12 seconds the blank at the top left of the screen.

Post Seating Confusion on Densified 777 (Club World)

Hi everyone, hoping someone might be able to shed some light as I cannot find the information I am looking for.

I am flying to Punta Cana in October and just found out that the seat layouts on the 777's have changed since I flew last October. I have a Club World ticket and last year we were in seat 4A and 4B on the 40J 24W and 219Y layout (technically this is row 3 but for some reason BA lable it as row 4, I think it is because of the staggering of seats in this class). This year I merrily booked my flight and went for 4A and 4B again and have now realised this is the new layout with 32 J seats. Does anyone know if 4A and 4B on densified planes are in the same position as 5A and 5B (technically row 4) of the 48J 24W and 203Y layout? On Seat Guru the window seat at 5A does not have a window as they are blocked out and I fear that this will be the same with 4A on the new densified configuration.

I rang BA to see if they had any information on this and guess what? Their contact centre staff had not heard of the planes being densified and was not in a position to help. In fact I could tell her more about the planes and she is now away to check it out!

Much appreciated for the any help you can give. All the best

Thank you very much for such a detailed answer! So, in that case the best seats should be row 11?
I still have hope that it changes to a 787...(flying to PEK by September)

Row 11 is OK and has a full et of windows but of course you'd have to step over any passenger in row 12 assuming it's occupied. The other option for direct aisle access is the last row 16 A or K.

Flying IAH-EDI in April. First leg to LHR is 777F. Does anyone know if the last row of economy reclines fully? Is it all that bad besides being close to lavs? Just want to fully recline and not have someone huffing at me for 9 hours.

*BONUS* Q!: Does anyone know how many economy seats are booked BA 194 April 8th? Trying to get idea of how booked the economy cabin is to see if I should pay for seat or if there is good chance of having decent picks for free T-24. Can't justify expertflyer as I don't fly frequently.

Thanks!

If you are only after seat maps, I don't think you have to pay for EF.

FWIW, there are only about a dozen seats allocated at the moment, and economy booking classes are 9 all the way down to both O and G - but this far from the flight that means very little so far as predicting the future is concerned.

Not seat maps, fare class availability. This will be my only worthwhile flight of the year. My domestic flying always allows free seat selection. BA is the first international flight I'd have to pay for seats that I've ever seen.

In which case, asking now really will give you next to no idea of how full the aircraft will be. As I say, it's all 9s at the moment, but I've been on plenty of flights that have been like that a month before the flight but went out pretty much at 100%.

Indeed, the flight might in theory even be overbooked already. But the number of reservations actually taken at any particular time will usually be hard to get as airlines regard it as confidential information.
