Thank you Globaliser, I'll just keep glancing at seat selection page as time goes on.

Was reading about the space behind 2k in First on 777 and it being crew bunks, am really trying to visualize it any help would be appreciated as we are flying out to Houston in June and it shows that space on the seat map. Thanks

Apologies if this has been covered, have looked but can't see a definitive answer.

We are a couple travelling from LHR-LAS on a BA 777-200 in 2 months.

I cannot find any seating plan that ties up with the image on the BA site where I can choose my seats.

Was looking at 39A and B as we'd be on our own but then read about limited recline (my partner is quite tall) and noise due to toilets and galley area.

So noticed that seats in row 17 seem to have leg room but what is in front of them? Just space?! There is a line in front of seat 17C and G - what is this?

Thanks for any advice!

Have you had a look at British Airways Aircraft Seat Maps - this is the best source for BA seat maps, and they are reasonably to scale (unlike the diagram shown on ba.com).

From what you say, I'm wondering whether you're being shown a diagram that corresponds to this seat map: http://thebasource.com/seatmaps/77e/48j24w203y.html

No, I can't find anything that matches it at all. I tried to upload the image but it won't let me.

I've put it here prntscr com ilxb5y (with a dot before the com and a slash after the com if that works)

It shows baby seats or something in row 16 and then a large gap behind that to row 17, and it's not an exit because those are marked

That matches the seat map I linked to: British Airways B777-200ER 48J/24W/203Y Seat Map.

Treat that seat map as more accurate than the ba.com diagram, except possibly for the locations of the baby bassinets. The lines in front of 17C and 17H are artefacts, as is the apparent extra space.

Your map shows no extra room in front of row 17. So BA can't even put accurate diagrams on their own website? Sheesh. Thanks for your help!

BA expressly says this on the diagram:-
So I'm not sure what's so "Sheesh" about that.

Because I've been looking at this for ages, trying to match it up with different plane types and it's not that easy. The diagram on BA shows a lot of leg room in that row, if it's standard leg room I don't see why it can't be shown the same as all the other rows are because I was going to book it based on that diagram - most people might not even think to look elsewhere and be disappointed on arrival! But thank you for your time.

That is exactly why BA tells you what it tells you, in exactly those words, on the seat diagram page itself. There can't be any ambiguity about it.

Is the price for the seats which show with extra legroom more expensive than the regular seats, if not the diagram is wrong?
I know that the B744 seat map shows seats 40HJK with extra legroom which is incorrect so this map could be too.

A dummy booking suggests that row 17 is the same price as row 18. That would point to us having identified the correct BA Source seat map, with row 17 having no extra legroom. But this artefact on ba.com seat diagrams is commonly seen (and expressly warned about by BA) so it is not a surprise.

The OP might want to check the exact route that she's flying, though. It would be a pity to arrive at LHR and find that the flight was actually departing from LGW.

I can assure you that Globaliser was trying to help you, in fact he's one of the most knowledgeable and helpful members on this board but anyhow let me welcome you to Flyertalk and here at the BA Board Sarah Beresford.

Further back in the thread at post 220 there is a photo of 17H, on my way to Mauritius, and shows the legroom. If I remember right there is a window blank at that row. Hope that helps.
