Trying to book either DUB-LHR-LAX or DUB-LHR-SAN with Avios, on flight selection the price (for 2) is 210,000 + $675; proceed to checkout, and the cash component changes to $1,000.

Any ideas, would call center be able to book with the $675 amount?

So I call and after quite a wait to get through on the Gold line it then takes over half an hour to get the details in the system and process the payment due to the agent having ‘system issues’. Double

Website seems down again. Endless logon requests and captcha loops.

Managed to get in just now, but agree it is very slow and clunky today. Just BAU for BA I suppose.

I have this as a permanent feature on my MacBook too
Eventually used my work notebook with Windows and Chrome to get flights booked.

Been having problems for last couple of days accessing bookings and account on App.

Tried all the usual, clearing cache, uninstalling etc. but no luck.

Can't even access MMB, get error too on Firefox & Edge even on laptop!

Looks like my next booking is messing up the App and online MMB.

Checked it on other folks devices and even though they can access their own bookings etc. as soon as we try my booking we get the error, strange one!

I just bought a ticket on the new BA site and status benefits for seat selection only removes the seat selection fees right at the very end of the process? No mention of "hello, you're silver/gold/unobtainium so you don't pay seat fees" either. I wonder if this was even beta tested with people actually buying tickets first.

If someone, with status, books a flight for someone else, would that passenger enjoy the status benefits of the booker?

assuming the person with status is not on the booking themselves, no

Just asked BA about my booking as simply cannot access on any computer or browser and got the below response!

  • Thank you for waiting. I can see the same error for this on BA.COM.
We have already highlighted this to the IT team and they will be sorting it soon.
  • This is being experienced with many passengers at the moment.

I get lots of interesting messages from BA’s broken IT. This recent one was amusing… there seems to be a war going on inside BA’s systems!

The worst thing for me is the price discrepancies. People can find themselves seriouly overpaying or/and not getting the fare bucket they paid and it would be practically impossible to challenge it afterwards.
