Finally managed to log on via Firefox after many tantrums due to 'suspicious activity' (i.e. multiple attempts to log on from the same IP address presumably.
I have this as a permanent feature on my MacBook too
Eventually used my work notebook with Windows and Chrome to get flights booked.
