And this is what i got under my bookings! Everything looks absolutely perfect and as expected!

But once you get further into it.... Surprise!

You won't see the fare class at the email you receive
You won't see it under bookings
You will see it ONLY if you go to the Print Itinerary field of your booking so double check your bookings!
I don't want to think the unpleasant surprise that other passengers that don't have the skillset to check these details will get into......

The only saving grace for this semi flex mess is that I'm finding it nigh on impossible to book a flight anyway, keep being told no availability, then there is, then you click on a date and it shows you availability for a totally different date. So I guess that limits the fallout somewhat.
And now even the way in to the old interface via Google Flights is playing up for me - you go from the GF page to book, and you get a BA holding screen telling you that they are "processing your payment"
Strewth... between this and the BA(E)C debacle, they are going to run out of people to sack...

I suspect this has already been noted, but if you select seating as a paid for option, when status or ticket class should exempt you from charges, then on the final payment screen you will see the charges removed.

But why when you are logged into your profile couldn't BA ask for the passenger names first, then present the seating plan without the charges together with row 1 access as appropriate?

I cannot add my passport details, always "technical error" shows up.
I cannot find where to add the OnBusiness number either.
The new look website is ridiculously useless, what is going on...?

WORKAROUND: Promotional code entry, and dodgy pricing
Trying to book flights to/from SFO in April and May, I came across several of the bugs mentioned in this thread, namely:
* nowhere to enter promotional codes (like BACHASE10)
* higher pricing sometimes presented, depending on whether one is logged in or not (or perhaps for other reasons!)
* free seat selection in F
* name, address, credit card info not presented and had to be filled in manually
Workaround:
I found that when I initiate my flight request using flight.google.com, and once flights are selected, follow their link into BA, all is well. I bought one flight this way and will shortly buy another.
PS: I noticed later that Leonidasc mentioned the google flights thing earlier in this thread!

Disband the test team, do not do any user acceptance testing. Do not pass go, do not collect 200.
Instead, roll out on Friday afternoon, allow the Flyertalk community to test with real use cases, post bugs on a thread, collect bugs on Monday morning, fix said bugs. Simples 🤦♀️

For a flight that was booked with BA directly on the BA website
”It's not possible to make changes to this booking online. Please contact the airline you booked with for further assistance.”
this is a CE fare which I mainly bought for the ability to do an easy same day change, infuriating.

This morning I checked in for my flight tomorrow, but was told I can't be issued a BP. It also displayed the 'we need to check your passport' message in MMB it shows when you go transcontinental. I'm going to Sweden...
Then about 3 hours later all that went away and it issued the BP no problem, and that message disappeared.
If you didn't use BA much that sort of thing could care the heck out of you; it's only through assuming that it's IT failing that we don't all have mini panics every time.

I probably speak on behalf of everyone on here but in answer to your question, its a very simple, emphatic and unequivocal yes.

What's up with Fly-drive bookings
So here's a question:
Trying to book a fly-drive for double tier points, LHR-HEL.
Previously not an issue, all outward and return flights bookable. Yet this time the return shows only two flights available, which is not what is showing as flight only.
Plot thickens, try to build a custom trip, hey presto the other flights appear, but there is a but the holiday now 300 extra [for no reason] and the killer is it doesn't show as a qualifying trip.
What's going on ???

BA further attempting to prevent me from spending all my avios by refusing to allow me to select more than one adult for a redemption search. Been like this for weeks via Safari.
Finally managed to log on via Firefox after many tantrums due to 'suspicious activity' (i.e. multiple attempts to log on from the same IP address presumably.

Trying to change date on an Avios booking. Goes all the way through to the payment page. After it looks like it has been approved by Amex (BA being on my safe list) it then says it is not possible to do this online and I have to call!
