on my personal Plat, just got and accepted the offer for 40,000 MR points with $3000 spend in 3 months through chat only.
I've had the card opened for just a year where first renewal annual fee had posted last week. My spending on this card was minimal and mostly just related to using numerous Amex offers, this year's monthly paypal credits, monthly streaming/wireless credits from last year, and receiving FHR/Airline related credits.

Not sure how much of a retention offer but I was given an upgrade offer on my Amex Green if I upgraded to Plat, 100,000MR + $150 statement credit after spending $6k in 6 months plus 5x on restaurants and grocery for 6 months. I figure with the $200 airline credit in 2021 and 2022 (total of $400) it brings the fee easily down to $145 which is good for 100,000MR, there are a few other benefits that I may use, however I don't see myself keeping this card for more than a year with the $695 annual fee, even after the $200 airline fee credit it is too expensive for the benefits without significant retention offers IMO.
