LAX would be problematic. Where would they put it?

I personally would LOVE a Cent Lounge in ATL, but the cynic in me can't see them stomping all over Mrs. Amex's flower garden.

*Mrs. Amex = DL.
I don't necessarily think they even need to make them above and beyond the current design and offerings. The LAS and DFW cent lounges are probably the best lounges I've been to. I agree with you about ATL, it would be really nice, but not going to happen with DL there.

I, along with probably thousands of Plat and Cent cardholders, would love one at IAH. As much as I enjoy having the KLM lounge through PP, it would be nice to have a Centurion Lounge in Terminal C. Plus it would be a big hit back at UA and possibly Chase Club Card holders.

I like to see it in LAX, PHL, MIA, MCO, EWR and JFK.

MSP, ORD and SDF would be my three top choices. Unfortunately, I could really only see ORD happening. With two skyclubs in MSP and 23 total gates in SDF ( I had to check), neither seem plausible.

Would love to see one here, but agree with this. Unless you are departing from the terminal they put it in, good luck getting to it. LAX has very limited airside connections.

Similar problem with the one they are putting into SFO.

Access for Platinum Card Holders?

I have a Canadian Plat Amex.
Do I have access to one of those Centurion lounges open or getting ready for opening (LGA) in US?

when they took out the Starbucks and added restaurants in T4, it seems they opened up a lot of real estate in the terminal ...

They might be able to do the same across the hallway, it seems there's unused real estate on that end of the terminal, across from the escalator that gets you down tot he T4-local buses

That would cover AA, American-Eagle, Quantas customers

Yes.

Q. My American Express Card is from outside the US. Am I eligible to access The Centurion Lounge?

A. Yes, all American Express Card Members who hold a valid American Express Credit or Charge Card are eligible to access The Centurion Lounge.

In a small airport like SDF they would be about the only game in town. A smaller scaled down version of the Centurion Lounge might be a real plus for AMEX in that market.

I might be biased, see top left corner

If AMEX took over the altitude lounge above SBUX in SDF, I agree, that would be a win for them. There is a lot of money in the Louisville area and I'm sure a lot of AMEX Platinum cards. But I still don't see it happening.

I'm biased too, my largest client is in the SDF area.

^ Not gonna happen, considering that CO/UA contributed a sizable share of the $$$ to renovate/expand the terminals (namely E & B)

I think you're probably more likely to see an operator like Airspace or the company that runs "The Club at" lounges in a market like that.

That would be Airport Lounge Development Inc. They are own by the Collinson Group, the insurance company which is also the parent company of Priority Pass and Lounge Club. These are, effectively, lounges operated by Priority Pass rather than contracted lounges.
