That is called the Mezzanine UC. The one being refered is the E gates UC. Both are similiar in size and relatively near each other. But larger than the G gates UC. (the older international F lounge)

The only large UC in SFO is the Rotunda UC (F gates)

And there is the very large (closed) Polaris Lounge in the G International terminal.

Maybe, but for some reason when the E/former-60 gates club is open, people seem to love crowding into that one, which has the happy consequence that the rotunda club is not so full.

This would be welcome especially in the evening hours.

Oh ok yeah I think I'm mixing them up, but I know which club you guys are talking about. If I'm not wrong, the club I'm talking about and you are talking about are actually quite close to each other.

The mezzanine club is approximately across from Sankaku, which is also near former gate 70.

The one for which I'd think "blue plastic scheme" is an appropriate descriptor is near the start of the corridor to most of the former 60 gates (now E gates).

But if every other seat is blocked and no bar seating I can't imagine that small club will move the needle much. I foresee a line getting into that club.

Well if it helps, in mid-may, a headache of a work trip will allow me to survey which clubs are open/offerings at ord, iah, sfo, iad, and even some outstations although those clubs are unlikely to be open and not sure if mia even has one. I'll definitely report back the findings

Yes! sorry for the confusion. Blue plastic UC means the main terminal floor one close to former gate 60 I should have said. Now called E gates I guess

(I believe it is also very close to the old gate 70 too though). It is on a corner

It would save the walk to the rotunda if departing from E gates, though I do much prefer the rotunda club.

Does anyone know if Polaris passengers are still being provided drink chits in the UCs?

Not chits, but a card that you give to the bartender that allows you to get unlimited top shelf drinks. And a single pack of upgraded snack...salami, cheese and crackers.

Stopped by the EWR club yesterday afternoon. Packed, with a line of 10+ at the bar. Walked thru and no acceptable seat options. Everyone packed tight, masks down eating and drinking. I walked right back out.

Not opening up additional clubs at this point is just greed + unsafe.

And at the SFO UC (in the domestic terminal) this includes Moet champagne! 🥂

*Le sigh* I can understand not opening all of the UC clubs at EWR at this time, but it's to my understanding that there is only one open now. That is ridiculous and definitely a health hazard. UC Clubs at EWR were packed by default pre-COVID.

I know it's like $20 for a glass of wine, but I have a much more pleasant experience at one of the iPad bars in EWR. Skip the UC if you can.
