No. I was expecting to be given a card for a drink or two, but when I entered the club I was asked if I'd be joining them for drinks. When I said yes, the UC agent punched a star in my boarding pass and told me to show it to the bartender. As far as I could tell, that was good for unlimited open bar (not just one drink) - just like one would receive in the Polaris lounge (minus the elevated quality of liquor and wine served there).

Question: is the UA website accurate where the DEN clubs are only open until 730pm and 8pm? Or are they open later than that? Thanks!

In my experience, the UA website is accurate with respect to UC hours. I've found it is updated in a timely manner when the clubs reopen and/or the hours are changed. The current posted hours for the DEN UCs match my experiences there earlier this month.

My AF on the United club infinite is due 6-1
I have a flight 6/11. If my home club in cle is not open by then and other clubs in hubs aren’t open then I am dropping. The only reason I got it initially was for the 4 free bags as opposed to 2 free bags on the explorer. Once the quest card came out , bag allowance is the same on the 2 cards so I will probably PC to quest since I’m over 5/24

You should call em & get fee waived for the year, since not getting the associated benefits...

I will but reading the chase retention offers thread doesn’t make me too optimistic

When (if?) Polaris lounges reopen, UA needs to toss the painful day beds and talk to Minute Suites, AMEX IAH or another airline (LH, AA) about finding comfortable day beds, chaises, zig zags, whatever.

At the moment I am at DFW AA D lounge, resting on a zig zag recliner much more comfortable than the Polaris boards I have tried to rest on. Imagine that, AA cheap lounges have better seating than UA top product.

ORD B6 right now. Pretty embarrassing for UA honestly. Two global services here and can’t get in.

WOW. Pathetic. UA is so far behind in opening their clubs. And I'm sure the environment inside is truly relaxing with a line like that to even get in. UA better get all their clubs open or stop offering admission to people with 1 day passes or pay for admission @ door.

They literally turned us away. "we're sorry we're at capacity, it's about a 20 minute wait, thank you for being Global Services!" Can't make that up.

Nothing will deliver the message about this being unacceptable more than canceling memberships and credit cards. I suspect many outside of the so-called "Flyertalk" bubble are already doing so.

I don't plan on keeping my Presidential Plus card even if I retain 1K status.

Although difficult for a GS to cancel a UC membership since it is a benefit.

A better option for a GS member is to make a formal complaint - those complaints I believe will get some attention.
