ORD B6 Empty

United Lounge by gate B6 is very empty today at noon. Food still nothing but Mozzarella Sticks Guacamole and Doritos, Salami wrapped around a peach flavored mozzarella stick ( who thought that one up), apples, carrots, 3 flavors of ramen noodles. and a few sweets.

I packed in a sandwich.

Yes both times I was on a polaris ticket. But first time, I was only offered the drink, no amenity kit.

No more hummus this time. I guess I'm supposed to dip the carrots in the salsa?

UA is actually not quite at the bottom. FRA LH lounge is still just a soft pretzel, banana, and sandwich to go. Though all three of those things probably taste better than the prepackaged junk. At least I can get a shower there.

Sad to see all the boom lifts parked in front of the ORD Polaris Lounge entrance. Looks like their semi-permanent storage spot as it looked like they hadn't been used in a while.

Is this a welcome new addition to the offerings?
(I did not see it mentioned above)

I've been in the EWR club a few times in the past month or so, including once over this past weekend, and never saw any burritos. They would have been a welcome addition to what were the typical uninspiring offerings there.

They did appear to have more than your last visit, however. I edited the list above based on what I remember seeing (everything that isn't crossed out). They also had some type of Jack Link's snack and some whole apples wrapped up.

Food offerings vary depending on time of day. I have recently had the breakfast burrito in EWR

DFW

Any idea when UA will open more lounges? All the flights from DFW are packed not there are many anymore. AA clubs, Delta Club, PP Lounge, and even Amex lounges are open.

I always walk over to the Amex lounge but there is always a wait.

Nobody really knows - but I suspect if the passenger counts continue to keep the current levels more clubs will begin to open beginning in Q2

It appears UA is waiting to see if pax numbers post-spring break will hold, before reopening non-hub lounges.

I think it was also mentioned earlier in this thread that they are also looking to see how many of the passengers using a given airport are UA club members.

AUS, MSY, SEA: desired Club openings

My airport mainstays (listed in the title) where I’d LOVE to see UA outpost Clubs re-open. Just curious where you all stand (I saw, and was motivated to write this post by, upthread love for DFW).

Maybe...just maybe...some UA representative is reading this and willing to relay our hopes.

PS, while not an outpost, I’ll also include IAH terminal B. I’m there regularly and the place is always packed!

I'd open back up the E gate SFO club - and my wish list is LAS where I go monthly. Vegas and the airport was jammed packed Monday morning when I departed and overall Vegas was looking pre-pandemic like over the weekend and a total zoo.

I agree about LAS although at least there I can use the Priority Pass lounge. Also of course my lovely home PHL club.

Just pure conjecture but I think the order of operations would be opening additional hub UCs before they cold-start an outpost. So thinking that any additional openings at ORD/IAH/SFO/EWR may be a good indication of when you can start hoping for outposts to come back on line.

Additional hub locations > outposts > Polaris would be my "IMHO" guess.
