FAQs
Are all flights on these routes lie-flat, etc?
Yes -- all non-stop flights from SFO/LAX to/from EWR and SFO<>BOS are configured as such regardless of aircraft used. All scheduled aircraft have a lie-flat premium cabin.

Are these CPU-eligible flights?
No -- no CPU on these flights. It will take RPU/GPU/mileage+copays to upgrade. Generally, these are "hard" upgrades.

Are TODs / Cash upgrades offered?
Yes, $298 cash OW upgrades are regularly offered.

Cool! I'm excited for Dreamliner J LAX-EWR in a few weeks! Did the increased cabin pressure make a noticable difference in how you felt during and after the flight?

Looked on a Fri and Sun in Aug and didn't seem to be any 789s. Not all days of week? Which ones?

I couldn't tell - probably not a long enough flight to tell. The bathroom was the biggest I've seen on any UA bird, though - could definitely change into Polaris PJs once they get introduced and this is flying long haul.

The plane does get you there faster, though. Flight time was under 4.5 hours.

It's only for a short period in June and July - then the plane will get sent on SFO-TPE runs, I believe.

Was also on the 787 flight yesterday. Was enjoyable and I do think I noticed a difference due to the cabin pressure. No water bottles distributed after meal service; I suspect none loaded.

Meal service took close to 3 hours; same as my 777 ps flight EWR-LAX last week! Not sure if the crew just isn't used to the widebodies on this route.

I used the bathroom in the front galley and it was tiny.

Hey All -

What kind of "snack" is served on the redeye UA 726 SFO-EWR 11:22 pm departure in BF? And is there a pre-arrival cookie?

Can we expect full dinner on UA 436 EWR-SFO with 8:30 pm departure in BF?

Thanks!

All the UA 787s have an oversize lav on the right (K/L) side between the two BF cabins.

Are you sure it isn't on the A/B side? That's what I recall.

If that's meant to be 787-9, then big lav is behind 5AB, as BF cabin split to 5 in front part, 3 in aft part.

Snack = chicken sandwich with arugula, side barley salad with artichoke heart, Godiva truffle. You get a warmed scone before arrival.

Full dinner for 8:30pm departure from EWR.
