Polaris Progress Tracker 2017.06.26
United has installed a Polaris Progress Tracker on its webpage, which tracks the progress of aircraft types/routes with Polaris seats and Polaris lounge openings. Here is the link:
http://view.ceros.com/united/polaris...-desktop-4/p/1
Under the "Aircraft" tab, all currently existing routes serviced by the new 773 (SFO-HKG, EWR-TLV and SFO-NRT are listed) are listed as well as (yet to be converted) 763 and 772 types. For the 763 the listed starting date is "Fall 2017." For the 772 the webpage states "Winter 2017," which sounds optimistic to me as it sounds more like 4th quarter of 2017 than the previously announced first quarter of 2018. Zodiac's output of Polaris seats for all three aircraft types must be ultra smooth by now, if United wants to stick with its predictions. Can't wait to see the first converted 763 in mid July...

I do UA 99 every 8-10 weeks. Because of no shower @ LAX, I have to do a 3+ connection in ORD to have time for Shower in ORD Polaris Lounge. Adding 2+ hours to the trip.
Forego a 1:30Mins ORD-YYZ connection.
The staff @ UC LAX I guess was fed with up my complaints of no showers & having to take long connection in ORD. On 13 Nov, before I could complaint , the agent manning the counter who knows me well, said : Good news, LAX Polaris lounge will open first week in Dec.

What is the thought process behind not allowing *A F/J passengers to use the lounge on arrival? Would it really add that much additional volume to these lounges?

It’s not just UA - pretty much all Star Alliance lounges use departing flight as basis for admittance, not arriving flight. Lounges are already crowded as is.

Well the tracker still says "Fall 2018" so they have until December 20.

Was surprised on Wednesday morning at LAX to see the structure and supports that had closed off the rotunda gone. The rotunda was open again to the terminal, with narrow windows from the lounge surrounding it. Also, the barricade to the entrance was removed, with what's presumably the glass entrance papered over for now. Went through pretty quickly, so didn't have a chance to get a picture. But it definitely seems like it's getting closer to opening, finally.

LAX Polaris Lounge
Does anyone have any insight on when the LAX Polaris lounge will open?
They technically have until December 22 to open by their deadline of Fall 2018, but we all know how that has gone.
I am flying to London on December 28th, will it likely be open by then?
Thank you!

I asked about it the other day when I was in the United Club They mentioned that there planning for 21st of December however they're having a little bit of a delay due to some type of lines (think they said gas or water) and probably will be opening a week or so later. However this is only hearsay.

I asked at Global Reception today and they said end of the year, but said you should not wager on it. Looking at the entry by gate 73, I would agree.
