Living in Japan I of course the Japanese site pulls up. But it always pops up in Japanese. Even after I sign in, each and every single time I have to manually request the change to "Japanese site in English". Is there really no way it the site can remember my preference post sign-in?

To get around this I bookmarked the "en-us" version of the site - makes it easier... Going to united.com just makes life miserable for me outside of the US....

Couple of small improvements
Two of the things I sent feedback on appear to have changed.
It used to be that if I did a flight search using 2 Seniors when I selected the same search from the Recent Searches droplist it had been changed to 2 Infants and would err out unless changed back. That appears to have been fixed. It used to be that any search that was already on the Recent Searches list was left in its original position if you ran it again. That meant that the occasional searches would eventually cause the searches for trips you were trying to track, and running frequently, to eventually scroll of the end of the list. Now, it looks like they are putting searches on the top of the list, even if they were already on the list. This will cause searches you do more frequently to stay on the list, which I like. Two small things, I know, but maybe a small sign of progress? Had three days in a row when all my round trip searches completed properly (using Edge/Windows 10), so was going to add this to the list as a big thing. Sorry to say, though, that both the ones I tried this morning erred out. :mad: |
Today I got the dreaded error code "We are unable to process your request. Please see the message below for details." repeatedly when trying to book an award ticket. That is extremely frustrating. Plus all of a sudden the pax number is static at "1" although I have ticked the "2 adult" box. In order to correct this I have to add or subtract one pax and then correct it back to "2". However, the next time I search it's back to "1".

I have 3 trips pending but on the home page clicking on the "My Trips" box (even when fully logged in) does not take me to my reservations but instead asks for confirmation number, etc. A few months ago this info showed up automatically when I logged in and clocking the box took me to a full list of pending reservations.
What gives? I've searched for a site setting I am missing but cannot find anything. |

I remain flabbergasted that a company that relies so much on website technology and revenue processing online continues to fail miserably at basic tasks.

Noticed a new one today...at least for me.
Under premiere status qualification section on the home page, four flight segment minimum now shows 0/waived. I have WAY over 4 UA/UAX segments, and I don't think I qualify for any waiver for this. All my most recent activity is gone from my home page as well....maybe they are starting the holiday weekend early. |
