The arrivals lounge at London Heathrow, located immediately after immigration and customs, is a shared space with shower suites, breakfast items and more. This lounge is exclusively available for United Polaris business class travelers.
Eligible travelers must be flying on a same-day ticket arriving before noon and cannot bring guests. Additionally, United Club memberships and one-time passes don’t grant access to this lounge.
Although the requirement is to enter before 12PM for arrivals, there have been reports of entry up until 1:30PM.

OK, so is it guaranteed that UA will check me all the way through from LAX? I didn't think that it was a definite. Yea, been here a long time but a little rusty, apparently. I've never done this particular type of itinerary at LHR. My bad.

When you check in with UA you should be able to give them your LH reservation information and they can check it all the way to your final destination. If for some reason they can’t you will have to enter the UK and claim your bag and then recheck with LH.
The UK now has an electronic visa system for arrivals / transit - make sure you’ve done that too….

My apologies you are right. I was confusing this with ORD, where they are doing this.

B Connection Security
I was able to use it this morning connecting on IAH-LHR-IST. Almost everyone else was going to DEL and I thought the screening lady might turn me away since no gate was listed on my BP, but she let me through. And good thing too as when I got to the UC they informed me that the IST flight is indeed leaving from the B gates (not a surprise as it’s a 773). Huge help to be able to avoid the long walk to and from A security. Only casualty is no stop by the LH lounge.
The GS side of UC was quite crowded at 745 am but thinned out around 830.
Now to head to SQ for some legit food!

As you are departing in economy, not access to the multiple *A lounges in LHR.
However, you will have access to the excellent LHR UC as an arriving UA Business Class passenger.

It’s not worth the headache to get to the Centurion Lounge in T3. You’ll subject yourself to an extra security check, two unnecessary bus rides, and a raised eyebrow or two. The UC is a fine enough place to spend a long layover IMO.

There is also an arrivals lounge for United but that requires you to enter the UK (UK ETA required), but it closes at 2pm, which only gives you 2 hrs. I would recommend the UC in T2B, which is the only lounge I've visited at LHR. Not sure how it holds up to the other lounge mentioned here.

With this new arrangment, will I need to go to a new terminal because LHR-MUC is intra-europe flight? If yes, which terminal and what lounge can I use because new departing flight would be in Business? I see that there are Lufthansa Senator and Business lounges, as well SQ's SilverKris lounges. Any preferences between these?
Thanks.

Same terminal. Just will need to go through security check. LH goes out of a separate (but connected) portion of T2. UA has the best club in T2 believe it or not. It’s much closer to a Polaris lounge than a domestic UC while still branded as a UC.

OK, I made changes with the ticket and now connection time in LHR is 2.5h and route is SFO-LHR-MUC with LHR-MUC is LH2477 in Business.

The lounges in the T2B area (all the long-haul Star Alliance flights and the UC / SQ lounge) is a bit of a hike to get back-and-forth to, unless you really want to stretch your legs between flights.

Not being sarcastic, just asking - want to hear info from a person who has been in all three of them.

The Senator is irrelevant -- you don't have access. You do have access to the LH Business lounge, though.
Given that you have access to lounges on both sides of the terminal, though, I'd take the nearest lounge anyway, since I don't think the UC is so much better that it's worth all of the extra walking.
