Yes, it's better than the SQ SilverKris club at LHR. But 'better' is obviously subjective.
The Senator is irrelevant -- you don't have access. You do have access to the LH Business lounge, though.
Given that you have access to lounges on both sides of the terminal, though, I'd take the nearest lounge anyway, since I don't think the UC is so much better that it's worth all of the extra walking.
