The arrivals lounge at London Heathrow, located immediately after immigration and customs, is a shared space with shower suites, breakfast items and more. This lounge is exclusively available for United Polaris business class travelers.
Eligible travelers must be flying on a same-day ticket arriving before noon and cannot bring guests. Additionally, United Club memberships and one-time passes dont grant access to this lounge.
Although the requirement is to enter before 12PM for arrivals, there have been reports of entry up until 1:30PM.

Thank you! Much better insight for those of us who have not yet been to the LHR Terminal 2 United Club ("VIP side").

From the First World problems file.first redeye from Newark arrives quite early due to tailwinds (yay!).
.and then the arrivals lounge isnt open until 6, so we get to sit around for a half hour (boo!)

I thought that split in the exit from 2B as just so those in the know who are actually arriving and not connecting could feel in the know about the shortcut before the travelators. Youre telling me going to the right has an actual purpose??

In the connecting side, there is a double door that, rarely, is open and allows passengers on designated flights to bypass the tunnel, clear security at the T2B, and exit back upstairs.
It is not in use often.
Added: There is a pic of the transfer door in the consolidated connections thread - where most of these posts probably belong, tbh.

Had a delicious sausage and avocado muffin this morning at the Arrivals Lounge. Piping hot and hit the spot after sleeping through breakfast on IAD-LHR.
9/10 (but dont ask dont tell on the nutritional info).
