Mergers always bring the very worst aspects of both pre-merger companies. No surprises here

I'm still not seeing any United on the tires of either aircraft or vehicles...it's all Continental.

LOL. People get so excited about this. I still see Tulips around the system. Move on.

I agree. There have to be millions of pieces of stuff that need changing, both to erase Continental and to get rid of the tulip (RIP), and I'm sure we'll be finding things they missed for years to come.

I doesn't even need to be a merger. Premerger, I recall repeatedly walking past a painfully outdated poster on the wall of one of the boarding gates at ORD. All faded, it advertised a route to some exotic location to which they hadn't flown for years and showed a livery from at least 2 generations previous.

Continental Tire Company: http://www.continentaltire.com

Tires, ah say, tires from a company with a coincidental name, son.

(And if you don't get that joke, it's a rewriting of a catch phrase from the cartoon character Foghorn Leghorn who, in turn, was parroting Senator Claghorn from the Fred Allen Show.)

I just saw a plane at ORD labelled Pirelli Air - I don't think its a coincidence...

I still have a shirt I got from the IAH 2002 Airliners conventions that says
Continental Airlines work hard fly right with a picture of a 777 aircraft.
