The automated system via phone does report the correct combined redeemable miles balance but when prompted for PIN, the PIN that I enter registers as incorrect. Has anyone experienced a similar problem regarding account login?
I found that my CO password no longer works but my PIN still works. Something must happened.

Sounds like system must have wanted me to check in again with the new itinerary number before I flew but allowed the old boarding pass to be valid. On hold trying to get it fixed.
Well got through after 2hr and 30mins of waiting on hold and as predicted was flagged as a no-show on the outward flight so return automatically cancelled. Rep requested my seat number to validate was on flight and said reservation would be reinstated and confirmation e-mail sent in 20mins.. Here's hoping..

Whoever grabbed my seats did it this morning, why can't you let them suffer instead since they have had the seats for less than a day while I had them for 4 months!? Who deserves the seats more? UA certainly must have everything backed-up from yesterday, how hard could it be to go back 24 hours and reassign us our seats?
Impossible, actually. If you had any idea at all the complexity of this migration you'd probably be quicker to hold your tongue.

I lost seat assignments on two segments of a direct flight.
I used United.com to get one seat back, however I was not able to select any seats at all for the second leg via United.com or CS......The seat map does show many available E+ and E seats.

^ for all the hard work that UA has put in - and will put in to resolve each passenger's issues.

I just checked in @ SFO for the 11:10pm SFO-IAD. Thankfully there were no lines. The check-in agents all looked very tired, but all seemed to still have high spirits. My check-in agent said that SFO was very chaotic up until 3pm today. She advised all pax travelling tomorrow to get to SFO very very very early.

As another pax reported, the United Club is still using your old M+ number for admittance. Also, the wifi only accepts your old M+ number.

I'm really really hoping that those previous seats are still mine, and the reservation just isn't linked correctly, but postings here from other people who have called into UA aren't encouraging.

Are there any people who *haven't* lost intl seat assignments for PMUA travel? Is there any pattern to this? My fares were class D for the intl legs, class A for the domestic legs, flying out 3/13 and returning 3/18. Thanks!
I didn't lose any seat assignments. Actually, everything looks pretty ^. Obviously the PNR changed, but seats, waitlist, etc all seem to be correct.

It's showing 4 tabs at the bottom for "United First", 5 for "Economy Plus" and 2 for "Economy" when I hit my reservation. Weird.

Also, I was upgraded with the complimentary premier upgrades, and it is showing me in F, but on a separate tab underneath it lists the same flight again (as though it was a different segment) and says it's an ON fare. I thought that was for Premier 1K/GS SaverPass First class tickets?

So I am an idiot for expecting competence from them?

Observed website glitch: while booking J awards on p.s, I'm given the F cabin at seat selection. After the reservation goes through, I'm told "we were unable to assign seats." I have no problem going to My Reservations and choosing J seats.

So that's GS - is it also GF? Is the Premier Access desk still there (just off the the right from what used to be BF)?

Also, if I am confirmed on XN (elite award seat) and want to take another flight, should I be waitlisted for XN or just X?

Thanks.
Today I had my companion (booked on XN) rebooked on X. So at least that wasn't an issue.
If I had to guess about waitlistsing, I'd say X, because any X seat is available for an XN eligible person... it's less specific...
On the other hand, if they open up an XN seat but not an X seat for some reason... ugh. IDK

Question: right now it doesn't seem like they are opening up fare classes for same-day flight changes even though flights aren't full. Several flights tomorrow are at 60%, yet no seats below W at all. Why?

PIN again

After successfully answering the question, I've reset my PIN.
m...bf logged in to the new united but couldn't repeat what I just did to reset the PIN. The same question/answer doesn't work for him! (We are pretty sure they are the same for both of us bcoz I set them )

Maybe he will have to call United next week to have the PIN reset? But I thought PIN is required for almost every action to your account

p.s. Is it because he has full conversion than I do (showing correct balance including Lifetime Mileages rather than 0 in my account)

Unable to Check in online

Flying 3/4 DEN to BWI. Reservation appears on the new united.com. Tried checking in using new MP number, new confirmation code and old confirmation code. No luck. Web site says "We are unable to complete the check-in process as a valid ticket coupon cannot be found" and advises to contact customer service. On hold 30 min+ and counting.....

Ancdotally, it doesn't seem like any automated process will solve this, because i think at least 50% of the problem is harried agents. I had a single PNR split into 3 separate PNRs by the integration. 1 with my name and correct seat, but for only 1 leg (the former CO leg) of the trip. A second for my wife, with the same problem. And a third with all correct legs showing, and both passengers, but the "needs reissued" problem.

When i called to resolve this, since our flight is tomorrow, it took them about 30 mins to fix. They reissued the "correct" PNR and cancelled the two partial PNRs... But this dumped our seats, and by the time everything was fully fixed, our seats were gone, and only middles remained on that flight. Nothing they could do.

I believe that the agents COULD have captured/retained our seats during that transaction, but it wasn't a priority since they've probably spent all day reissuing tix. Given how one of my other itins got cuisinarted as well, i suspect that seat assignments followed the "old" PNRs, and if you had a mixed-metal itin affected by the reissue problem, your seats were dumped when that partial PNR was.

I'm more inclined to blame human carelessness here than putting all the vitriol on IT...

Shannon,
My wife and I had a pair of UA flights last Wed that didn't post before the conversion. This was a bit odd since typically UA flights would post the next day so long as they weren't late night flights and these didn't post Thurs or Fri. When do you expect posting to resume and should these pre-conversion flights post normally? The last thing I want to do is call in while you guys have more urgent issues to settle but I also don't want to let these go too long post conversion. (Strangely, I had another segment also on Wed that was on one of those UAX flights that was moved early to Shares and despite it having my old MP# in the record, it posted Friday on the old CO site - really didn't understand how that happened.)
