My miles came back so that is good. I'll get used to the website though, worse things happen at sea.

I am also currently in Tokyo. Using www.ual.com works fine for me, try that one.
i have a yb march 14 itinerary nrt-iad-cdg-ord-sea-nrt that i am trying to upgrade with systemwides. currently, the system is being snarky. no big deal, i just thank the goddesses that i am no where near the pit of horror where the integration is being brewed.
but when will be a sensible time to call ugs and whine? we're currently ten days out (tokyo time), and seats are not plentiful. [ i do like that you can see all cabins on seat map ]

This may have been what happened...
Welcome to FT!,clparkersonThere are a couple of issues still outstanding -- see post #1.
Additionally some of us with future reserved SWU/Regionals have had them doubly deducted (you can see this in the account detail). There has not yet been a response from UA on this -- see post 319

A huge thank you to Shannon/UA Insider for keeping us all informed during the transition.
A bunch of errors on the new site worth pointing out:
1) The page about the airport upgrade standby list seems to be left over material about the old Continental program, and is thus riddled with errors:
http://united.com/web/en-US/content/...andby_FAQ.aspx
For example, there is no mention of 1K upgrades; I think the companion upgrade information is incorrect; and the page implies that SFO-HNL flights (or any other West Coast flights to HNL other than from LAX) are not eligible for CPU. There is also no exclusion of ps flights from CPU. Finally, there is a reference to no upgrades on award tickets, which is (a) not true for certain credit card holders, and (b) this same sentence appears twice with the text "delete extra space" inserted when it appears the second time.
2) As best I can tell, the upgrade mileage and co-pay information located at
http://united.com/web/en-US/apps/mil...27A9B20CDA7F12
is correct; however, if you click on the link at the top of that page to see the pdf chart listing all the mileage/co-pays in one place, it takes you to an outdated chart (with the Continental OnePass name) with all the old Continental info (e.g., no references to upgrading from Business to First, etc.)
3) If you want to look at the chart listing the Star Alliance Upgrade Award amounts from the following page:
http://united.com/web/en-US/content/...rade/saua.aspx
clicking on that link mistakenly takes you to the same OnePass chart referenced in #2 above.
4) Also related to Star Alliance Upgrade Awards, clicking on the link on this page entitled "Star Alliance Upgrade Awards":
https://pss.united.com/web/en-US/con...e/default.aspx
instead takes you to a page about Star Alliance benefits other than upgrade awards.
5) On this page:
http://united.com/web/en-US/content/...grade/mua.aspx
regarding the Premier co-pay waiver, the text reads:
"Non-Premier members are exempt from the co-pay when traveling on the same reservation as a Premier member or when sponsored using miles from a Premier member’s MileagePlus account. The co-pay will be charged for members sponsored by a Premier member who is not traveling on the same reservation."
Now it's late here so maybe I am just confused, but don't those last two sentences contradict each other about whether non-premieres sponsored by a Premier member but not on the same reservation will be charged a co-pay?
6) Very small issue -- on this page about Global Premier Upgrades:
http://united.com/web/en-US/content/...wupgrades.aspx
under the section entitled "Confirmation Priority", the second sentence references Regional Premier Upgrades when talking about the 24-hour cutoff. Obviously, this text was cut and pasted from the RPU page.
7) When you go to the "Flight Status Notification Subscription" section of your email settings, and ask for texts to be sent to your cell phone, it says "This feature is available to T-Mobile customers". I think this is a mistake, I am not T-Mobile and I am pretty sure I have gotten texts from CO before. Or is that just a plug for T-Mobile, since it doesn't expressly say other carriers aren't eligible?
8) On the following page about Mileage Plus awards generally:
https://pss.united.com/web/en-US/con...vel/types.aspx
there are several references to an "award fee chart" (for fees for ticketing less than 21 days, flight changes, redeposits, etc.) with a direct link to that chart, but clicking on the "award fee chart" link instead brings you to the outdated chart referenced in #2 above, which gives you only (incomplete) information about co-pays, and not about award fees.

Yes you may be inconvenienced. Yes you may be delayed. Yes you may have to wait for the kinks to be worked out in one of the largest airline IT integrations ever.
I wish all the whinnying was a surprise, but seems like we have become a nation of whiners so I guess it is to be expected here too.
And no, I am not an airline employee or married to one.

I really enjoy those demanding compensation because they have been wronged beyond belief...

Upgrade List Issues
Has anyone experienced issues with upgrade list order? Flying International and always am number 1 on the list if not confirmed 24 hours in advance. Today i Checked in exactly 24 hours prior to flight and continue to be moved down the list. My SWU are not mine, but tagged to someone with highest old continental status. Anyone aware of Issues with SWU elite status not being recognized on upgrade list?

Thanks United. I booked 6 months ago and now my seat assignments are toast. I have a trip to DC and then Latin America, and won't be sitting with my traveling compainon. Just because i thought i better check, when I logged in this afternoon - no assignments.
Guys I can't see how transfering a seat map from one system to another could lead to total chaos. Now i am facing a 10.5 hour flight in a middle seat. I know that at 360K lifetime miles and Premier Gold - I am not an uber important cusotmer. However, I bought my ticket, chose my seats, and now beacuse seat assignments were not transferred and, even worse, allowed to be reassgined - I am screwed. It is not proper, right or fair. Period
I played by the rules booked and did everything right. It wasn't an equipment change or weather issue. It was a poorly executed system conversion that penalizes the customer (full fare by the way).
Ideally, the original seat assignments would be returned and those that took the seats would be provided an eqivalent seat, the same generous offer being provided to the jilted customers.
If this is the New United - I wish you luck.

2. I am not sure why you are trying to turn this into a moral issue by claiming you played by the rules, etc. This is a system cutover issue and nothing more. A very small amount of people will be impacted in a negative way, 99% of the UA population flying within 10 days of the transition will have no idea that the migration even took place.
3. Absolutely no evidence exists at all that this was a 'poorly executed system conversion'. You would be shocked to see what happens during poorly planned and poorly executed integrations (employees don't get paid, companies are prevented from shipping products, facilities lock people out, etc). A small percentage of issues with seat assignments does not constitute a 'poorly executed system conversion' for a HUGE airline.

SWU/GPU Issue
Just checked my account two ADDITIONAL GPU's were removed on 3/3 for my flights yesterday (3/3) and next week. I see others have this issue.
Any idea will this be corrected automatically or will we have to call the MP Service Center??
