I was trying to book an award ticket. As the website says, "MileagePlus Premier members and MileagePlus credit cardholders have access to last-seat availability on Standard Awards."

On the flights that I was trying to book, there was plenty of Y and YN availability. The website would not however let me book these flights so I ended up calling reservations to book the flight.

Is this a system glitch?
I am seeing the same thing. I believe it is a glitch.

prices posting in foreign currency

Flight prices suddenly showing up as GBP. My account is still in the US and so is my selected location.

In my experience in such cases, it can be better to make a big change that requires recoding every case where these things are used than to have a system that mostly works, but fails in numerous subtle ways..
Like using ON as both an upgrade and award code? Probably not the smartest thing.

The upgrade code is supposed to be R. I've booked a couple of upgrades in the past week and they show as R, not ON.

Were your upgrades from business on a 3-cabin to first on a 3-cabin? That is when the ON fare code is supposed to be used, according to a table that smb12 posted. I thought that R is supposed to be used for upgrades from discount econ to first on a 2-cabin. This difference is important, because UA has to have some way to know whether to credit a bonus for the paid business fare, or not.

May I ask, the "R" codes for upgrades you have, are they domestic or international?

My international upgrades have "R" codes, my domestics are "ON."

R should be used for all domestic 2 cabin F and int'l 2 cabin J upgrades; ON only used for 3 cabin domestic or int'l F upgrades.

The issue is that ON is also an Elite award bucket for 3 cabin int'l F.

Your domestic ONs are supposed to be fixed at some point (I have some as well) - it's a legacy issue from the transition. Many have had to call in to manually get those miles posted.

UA-NYC kind of answered the questions asked of me, but:

I booked an international flight for May where all legs were upgraded and reflect an R code. The upgrades included domestic legs going from economy to first on a two-cabin plane. The international flights were upgrades from economy to business on three-cabin aircraft.

I was just upgraded (UDU or whatever they call it now) for a Saturday domestic flight from economy to first and the fare code changed to R.

Sorry if this has been mentioned earlier but are people noticing a difference between their RPU and GPU totals in the Account Summary section versus what they see in the "Reedem Awards to Upgrade". For example in my summary I have 6 RPUs and 5 GPUs. However, under the "Reedem Awards to Upgrade" I only have 4 RPUs and 4 GPUs. Some of the expiration dates also seem wrong.

Wondering if anyone else has noticed this problem or if this is unique to my account? I have previously PM'd UA Insider but didn't get anything back.

I think that your segments were properly upgraded.

Q: Given the ongoing delays with getting credentials to members (my GS kit, supposedly mailed on the 13th never arrived; they've now requested another, due in 7-10 days) why has United not reactivated the "print duplicate membership card" feature? It doesn't seem like a very complex piece of functionality.

Somewhat amusingly, it still says:

Option to print membership card is temporarily unavailable

We have temporarily disabled the ability to print a membership card as we finalize our system migration.

If you have elite status in 2012, rest assured that you should receive your elite card and credentials this week, if you haven't already.
Rest assured. Yeah, right.

As an aside, when I called to get another card on its way, the GS agent I got was very helpful, dealing with the service desk herself instead of handing me off to them. She came back after the first 5 minute hold and said the service desk was trying to request a duplicate kit but was having difficulty with the system, lol. Another 5 min, and they had somehow resolved it, and I'm promised a kit in a week or so.

I wonder if anyone in the same boat (MM companion status match should've triggered new creds) has actually received anything. Perhaps the new kits are being sent by burro from SD or something?

I am in the middle of a trip and my upgrade for sat with expiring gpu originally went into R but last night it changed to ON. The seats remain in first. All on two. cabin aircraft.

Miles for an SQ flight posted within 24 hours. But still waiting for miles from a flight on UA metal on 3/3. Tried to call a week ago, the automatic system told me to email. So I emailed, haven't heard anything other than an auto-reply that my email was received. Any suggestions on how to get this fixed?

Call your premier number and transfer to mileage plus service center. But it has limited hours so you need to call when it's open. Don't email. I flew on 3/3 on UA metal and my non-upgraded segment posted in a few days. There's an issue with your flight if it hasn't posted by now.

It has been saying that your new card will arrive next week for the past 4 weeks. I hope that your new kit arrives now that you've called about it.
