Hopefully a rather simple question.

I have ~18,000 miles on TA miles&smiles, how can I use these to book travel on United airlines U.S. domestic flight (NYC-Chicago)? If it involves going through star alliance somehow, I do have some more miles on another partner airline so maybe I can combine those too. But since I have a lot more on TA I'd like to use them.

Unfortunately that will only be enough for a one way ticket (10,000 miles). You will have to call TK to book or visit a TK office. You can't combines miles from another programme. If you have enough from another programme you could maybe by another ow ticket to get you back.

If you are 2000 miles short, you can buy them. I think it's 20 Euro per 000.

When I try to buy or transfer miles I get always an error: SYSTEM ERORROR, TRY LATER. and this since 2 days.

I found a flight on United only requiring 12,500 miles for one way, which I am fine with I can book/pay for a return flight separately. Would this still work? I would just need to call TA?

I got IST - FIH on the TK website for 20k miles and 682 TRY in fees, found those fees a bit high, I'll call them inquiring about ADD-FIH but I highly doubt fees will be much lower.

Hello, I am complete newbie here and wanted to ask about Turkish airline.
So I am trying to purchase a ticket-
It's Boston to ICN(Seoul, South Korea) via IST.

I tried to look up at their website but got very confused.

So what I understood so far is,

1) since Im leaving from US, it will be 2 bags, 23kg each.
2) so I can carry 46kg total? (am I correct?)
3) and I couldn't find this information;
so I might have to carry more than 46kg of luggage,
I might have extra weight-or extra piece of luggage.
I look through EVERYWHERE on the website,
but I couldn't find my destination, in the chart where it says there are different zones and different prices depending on the zone.
I want to know how much is for 1 heavy luggage over 23kg,
and how much is extra luggage (so 1 more piece of baggage with 2 I will already have)

once I figure this out, I want to make a purchase ASAP because it's close to the Christmas season. so Please answer asap please...

Wow, I never had reason to check out the excess baggage info on the TK website before, talk about confusing

I'd give the local TK sales office a call and get an answer. You are right re 1 and 2 btw.

Can I access the lounge airside and then go back to clear immigration at IST airport?

Basically, I'd like to have a shower after a major long-haul before going on the tour.

After arrival you won't have access to the lounge unless you have a boarding pass for a connecting flight. If you arrive on a TK business class flight you can use the arrivals lounge.

What are the best options to contact TK about the Statusmatch?

I sent severall requests by their online form. Havent received an answer.

Any experiences about calling them? Or should I go to a local office of TK?

Does anybody know when TK send out the new cards? My Elite expires on January 31st, so I'm wondering when I can expect to get my new card? Do they send it out during the same month as the card expires, or during the month before.
