Thanks. Where are these instructions? In the application itself (I don't see these there) or somewhere else? Also, would it be possible to have two valid US passports?
http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publicati...bsf658-eng.pdf I'm still not sure how to interpret them, though... |

Why would you consider withholding any of the requested information? That could only work out in the negative for you. |
Please help me. Should I apply?
My story started when I stayed in the states for bit over than 3 months straight from November to February. I always thought that Canadian can stay in states for as long as 6 months and even on a stamp on my passport said so. I came back Feb 4 and was trying to go back Feb 7 just cuz my girlfriend who lived in the states was about to break up with me. So I was denied the entry on Feb 7. the officer said to show him proof of job or residency wait a few months and try again. I did extensive search online and everyone said that once you got denied, you will be detained again every single time and there is no guarantee they would let you go in. So I am thinking of applying a nexus card. however though I had some traffic offense plus that recent entry denial. should I apply or I am not going get approved anyways? my job is just an ordinary job, not doctor or pharmacist or anything fancy.

I can't say for certain, but it's very possible this will be found if you apply for NEXUS. If you cross by land, it's not going to help you out any. You will still be subjected to the same questions as a regular line. In fact, I find I get grilled more with NEXUS. Your best bet might be to get a letter from your employer stating you work there, and if you have a lease agreement for your residence this will help you too. You could also try phoning the port of entry you cross at and try to find out what you can do to prove that you'll return. I've been in the same boat. I at least was only crossing once per week, so while I was travelling frequently, it was always for short periods of time. Best of luck! |

I've been trying to call YYZ enrollment centre at 1-855-866-3987 as I have a sneaking suspicion one of the agents that did our interview on Saturday morning forgot to submit our approval since we haven't received our approval notification on GOES even though we were verbally approved. I left a message with our names and ID # but no response yet. I tried calling at various times this afternoon but keep getting the voicemail. Does anyone know if they actually pick up the phone or will I just have to keep leaving messages? Does anyone have a different number I can try?
You need to contact the Nexus office in Niagara Falls(US Side) and they will fix correct the issue. |

Regarding dual citizenship, here is what happened for me at the interview : both authorities know I am a dual citizen, Canada because I’m a naturalized Canadian and USA because the first time I crossed the border as a Canadian citizen, I still had a I94 form on my EU passport, so I gave them both passports so they could have fun deciding which one had priority (also, I guess getting my fingerprints automatically linked me to my old EU passport). So dual citizenship was mentioned on both sides at the interview but none of the agents asked to see my EU passport, anyway I could not have provided any since I now use ID card to enter Schengen and the UK – Ireland.
I think if I still had a EU passport, I would have put it on the Nexus form to be save, but I didn’t report my national ID card and again they didn’t ask for it. |

There have been lots of discussion about this on this thread, but the key is the bolded line above. If you change your address you can do it online.
However, a new passport (including renewal) is not already on file. As such even though you can update it online, it's not valid in the eyes on CBSA, being a new passport. I've asked as well, and the US does NOT share updates made in GOES with Canada. It's a privacy/security/whatever issue that prevents true data sharing. Ever notice at Nexus offices there is a US and a Canadian officer at separate computers? One is owned by the US, one by Canada - they are not the same system or interface. Additionally, the US also has an additional computer only for ABTC applications. From my earlier posts, I did a GOES renewal without issues or any problems until I went into a Nexus office to pick up my pass I left at security, and was read the riot act for using it in violation for 2 years. Montreal (YUL) Nexus enrollment center
Where exactly in the Montreal (YUL airport) is the Nexus enrollment center? I have been conditionally approved and was thinking of holding the interview there while I'm visiting the city. I will not be flying in or out of YUL.
What terminal is it in? Is the center land-side or post security? If I take a hotel airport shuttle, where should I have it drop me off? If I drive myself and park, do I park in short-term parking? Sorry for all the questions. I searched the thread but didn't find this info. I have never been to YUL. |

Sorry for all the questions. I searched the thread but didn't find this info. I have never been to YUL. The Nexus Centre is located in the arrival terminal just left of the international (US included) arrival gate, so on the West side of the terminal, ground floor (departure is on the first floor). Easiest way is to arrive by bus, city bus or Greyhound bus, because the Custom office is right in front of the bus stops. Take the small custom corridor and you'll find the Nexus door on your right. Ring and the clerk will unlock the door for you. You will not go through security check but meeting the US agent will be like being admitted to the USA after air travel. So obviously take your passport and do the ESTA thing if you are not Canadian nor American (or get a US visa if you're not elligible to ESTA). If you take a hotel or parking shuttle, they will most likely drop you on the departure section, so get down one floor, then follow custom signs and then the Nexus logo to the small corridor. If you have to park, go all the way to the west side of the short term parking, near the exit, you'll be closer to the custom section. In any case, don't go to the US departure section of the airport, but if you park at the Marriott hotel (in-terminal hotel), follow the sign to the arrivals, walk trough the US departure section and the first thing you will see when you get to the arrival (again one floor down) is the custom corridor. |

Don't worry, YUL is not a big airport, so you'll find your way to the Nexus centre without trouble.

OP, just bring whatever documents are indicated on your approval letter. |
Hello all. I'm looking for some advice from those who carry a Nexus card but are not citizens of the US or Canada. (i'm a Canadian PR holding a US tourist visa)
I just got approved for Nexus and now awaiting my card. I am planning on driving across the border. I know that I-94s are still being issued at land border crossings. Do I still need to park the car and get into that building to have one issued ? Do Nexus lanes actually have an officer who talks to the visitor, or is it all automated ? Just trying to know what to expect when using a Nexus lane for the first time. Thanks ! |

I can't figure out what you mean by this... It's a Nexus interview, not travel. OP stated that he isn't even flying out of or into YUL. No ESTA or visa would ever be required in this case.
OP, just bring whatever documents are indicated on your approval letter. I'm a little bit surprised too, it's nowhere mentionned on her approval letter, but you know I have a basic rule in this situation; never argue with the US agents, even on Canadian soil. The only justification that I can think off is that if the candidate has a visa or is ESTA approved, the work of the agent will be easier, part of the background check is already done. |
