Thanks

They're open from 8am but the CBP agents don't show up until 8:30. Since they need to enter information into their systems, I'd suggest showing up after 8:30.

Note that the office is closed between 12:00 and 13:00.

Hi all, didn't read through all 233 pages of the thread so forgive me if this has been covered already...

I recently moved so I went to update my address on the GOES system and lo and behold, a "Renew Membership" button appeared next to my NEXUS membership. My card expires in March 2016 so the 90-day window doesn't begin until December, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it there now.

Question 1: will I be able to continue using my old card while the application process is in progress? I have travel coming up in September so I want to make sure I have a working card. Also, my address will be changing again in September (changing units in the same building) so I'm thinking I might wait until that happens before I apply.

My corporate platinum Amex card will be returned soon as I'm changing jobs so I wanted to take advantage of that as well, and get the NEXUS renewal fee comp'd, so I think I'll start the process on Sep. 1 when I move. Question 2: Do you have to pay the fee at the beginning of the process? (so I know for sure that I should wait).

Thanks,
Fahad

Yes, your current card will remain valid until you have your new card in hand and activate it.
Not sure about your second question.

Cool, thanks, just applied. $50+$70 (APEC card), charged right away.

Got my conditional approval. Can the Blaine, WA enrollment office do iris scan enrollment during the interview, or do I have to go to one of the Vancouver locations for that?

Only Canadian offices do the iris scans.

Can anyone let me know how I update my NEXUS membership with my recently renewed L1 Visa? Can I just show up at the office at the Halifax airport, or do I need to make an appointment? The sign on the door says appointments only but I've not had much success figuring out how to do this.

As you're updating info, and not conducting an interview, you should be to walk-in, hand over your NEXUS card and tell the agent you need to update your visa information.

"Iris photograph can be taken at the adjacent CBSA office in Canada." http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/prog/nexus/location-eng.html

Check on their hours, especially if you're interviewing on a weekend. At least as of two years ago, the iris scan at the office just across the border was only available Monday through Friday. YVR can handle it as a drop-in any day of the week.

Weird..

My wife and I both renewed on the same day. Can't recall the date but it was about 40 days ago.

She got three identical emails today saying "check GOES, there was an update". When she logs in she sees that she was approved and apparently a card is on the way to her in the mail.

I didn't get any emails but when I log in to my account, I have a notice that says "conditional approval" and informs me that I need an interview. However, my application status still says 'pending review'. There is no 'schedule interview' button anywhere on the site.

My notification came early this morning so maybe they haven't fully updated yet. But seems weird that I got conditional approval but can't schedule an interview. Does that take some time before my 'pending review' status changes to a schedule interview button or something like that?

Just wondering if others have experienced the same thing before I call them and start asking what's going on!

FYI for all *Canadian* APEC Business Card members.

I just received a new APEC card in the mail today. New document number, similar card but this one is actually issued by Canada, rather than the US.

Yep, got mine, too.

I went to YYZ to update my passport and DL. There were only CBSA officers there. I can see in GOES that the new passport is updated but the DL is not. Do I need to go back?
