yeap... still don't see the new card

mexico-US or Canada-US? Don't have to register cars for Canada-US crossing

its strange that some have recieved it and some havent. the logic behind the mailings maybe that theyre alphabetical order.


a colleague of mine entered the NEXUS program MONTHS before i even applied. my new card arrived, his card hasnt. the only thing i could think of is that his last name begins with C, and mine with A...

anyone else got any ideas?

We got ours - came same day. Both last names (different) start with 'R'.

US arrivals level outside C&I just before exiting the terminal, extreme west end of the building. Turn right down the corridor and it is on your right hand side.

Not sure about the current policy but you used to need an appointment if it was your initial application. If you are in the system, you could walk for your iris scan, and likely for simple updates. Google Nexus and they have all the phone numbers.

It has nothing to do with last name

My father who appied three months after myself got his new card already.

He does live in a different "city" in the GTA. I think it is 100% random

It's not just by last name. My sister got hers on about Dec. 30th, she's in YYZ. My parents (same last name, same address) didn't get them within a few days (they may have them now, I'm not sure). I'm in the US, and still haven't gotten mine yet. My sister was accepted into the program in the last year, both my parents and I have been members for about 2 years.

I am in YUL and I received it last week. Last name starts with a K. Love the new card. Looks good.

well i am trying to access the page today and its NOT working :( its the FEDERAL govt they never work so am I suprprised? :mad:

My new nexus card came with a TEMPEST like envelope (meant to prevent RFID snooping I suppose)

The inside of the envelope looked like there were copper strands embossed on it. Will this set off the metal detector at the airport?

Does anyone know if the Calgary Nexus office is still taking interviews? I just got conditionally approved for my first ever NExus application - I tried to schedule an interview online but it's telling me there are no appointments available at all (it wont' even bring up the calendar - just says that teh location has no appointments and to choose another). I can find tons of appoitnments at Winnipeg/Edmonton/etc. so it seems odd that Calgary doesn't have any??

Edit: Update - I left a msg with the Nexus Calgary branch and they actually called back in less than 20mins - their online scheduling for 2009 doesn't appear to be ready yet and they said to check back next week!
