There is a question: "Have you traveled to countries other than the United States, Canada, and Mexico since ....?

I'm supposed to indicate also countries where I just had a stopover?

Thanks

A "stopover" is n:pt an entry. List the countries you actually entered.

I take advantage of long stopovers to go to the city, so I entered the country but just during the day, I didn't sleep.
To avoid problems maybe is good idea to list the countries where I got a stamp in my passport I guess?

If you went through passport controls, yes.

Please refer to the following thread:

If by "stopover" you mean you didn't actually leave the airport and simply connected to another flight, then you don't have to list that country as you didn't enter the country or pass that country's immigration controls.

My question would be: do you include a country where you had your passport stamped to enter or leave the Schengen zone, even if you just took a connecting flight, such as entering Schengen at BCN to get a connecting flight to FCO? As I read the linked thread, I would take it that I should list Spain, although I don't think I did on my pending renewal.

Canadian here. My card expires next September, renewal process already started. But - I have a new (renewed) L1-B visa, and I-797, and I-94, all just issued one week ago. passport stamped, I carry the I-797 too. US CBP guy told me "You have 30 days to submit your updated info online." I think you can do that for an address update, but NOT for a new visa info.

So ... Normally I'd go to the NEXUS center at YYZ and show them the new documents, but it's closed. I called the Detroit Global Entry office since I happened to be nearby, and they said they're not doing anything with NEXUS renewals at all right now. I asked "Can I still use my card, even though I have an updated I-797 etc?" and they said "Yes, you can still use your card, but be sure to carry the updated documents with you."

I'm not sure I believe that. Hmm. Anybody happen to know if that's the case? Sure would be nice.

Take a look at this thread:

NEXUS member, changed visa status: can I update my info at a GE enrollment center?

To follow up and share my experience on this:

I stopped at the GE center in DFW airport last week while catching a connecting flight there. The agent was at first not sure how exactly to do it, and what info needs to go into the system, since there is only a TN-1 stamp but no "visa number". I called the YYZ NEXUS office and spoke to a CBP agent there, who informed me that they just need to put my most recent I-94 number into it. The DFW GE agent was happy to help and did this for me with no issues. I've already tested it on an arriving flight from Shanghai later this weekend and it works fine!

The answer is from 2016, but it may still be valid.

Thank you. Travelling at YYZ this weekend. I think I'll try using the NEXUS line, equipped with my documents and my story that "Well, I called, and they said this was OK" and we'll see what happens.

Please report on how it works out. I'm in a very similar situation and will be also traveling though YYZ in a couple of weeks. Would appreciate your feedback!

My husband is in the same boat, yes. Still Conditionally Approved per TTP dashboard but card expired Jan 2020. I spoke with the Nexus processing centre for the Western provinces (question submitted to the US CBP in their question center but no response yet) and they said he is not able to use the Nexus lanes until he has a new updated Nexus card in his possession.

Nexus Interview question or requirements

It might be a dumb question, sorry, I am new here. What kind of questions do they ask, and does the Nexus Interview require vaccine or PCR tests?

hellohi Mar 30, 2022 7:22 am

Hi,

I recently moved to the US on TN status for work and would like to continue using my NEXUS Card.

When going into an enrolment centre to update my visa status, do they need all my employment history since applying 4 years ago? Since then, I’ve had 6 different employers, so I would need to prepared with all the info if so.

TIA

They go over your application to make sure the information given is correct. Re: vaccination, don't you need to be vaccinated to travel between US and Canada to begin with? If you weren't, having Nexus would defeat the purpose.

Nope, "don't you need to be vaccinated to travel between US and Canada to begin with" that's a temporal condition. I got preapproved before the vaccine mandatory policy. Nexus is valid for 5 years, what if ppl want to travel after the mandatory getting lift, or it will be longer than 5 years or forever? That would be very interesting

In order to attend the interview you have to get to the interview site. If you are on the other side of the border you will need to meet the appropriate vaccine/test requirements to be able to get to the interview.
