May pending, June accepted
I applied on May 25 and my application is pending.
My mom applied June 2 and received her acceptance email today 8/8 at 1201am
I wonder why she would be accepted before me. Looking at other posts, it looks like I should be accepted in the next couple days.

Yes, although you need to change the appointment at least 24 hours in advance of your current scheduled appointment time.

Which day in June did you apply? If a 10-week wait is the going rate, beginning of June should be hearing soon and end of June will be early next month. Unless the wait time is speeding up as it's tail end of summer.

June 9th, could have done it 2 weeks earlier, but since my kid only took 3 weeks for conditional approval in April, who needed to hurry. 👨.👨.👧.👧 I think that it is speeding up. May seemed to be very popular.

Conditional approval letter: aug 8 (almost 11 weeks!)
Interviewing: Aug 13 (Ft. Erie, lots of availabilities this week)
* Yyz backed up until September 8th, won't make it for my trip on sept 13th.
Now crossing fingers Canada post doesn't strike so I can have it ready by my trip

Kids are typically fast. Also summer is peak passport season so Nexus should have a similar peak curve. Keep us posted on your conditional approval date. I'm not holding my breath. I'm dual US/Canada citizen with lots of foreign travel and in between the two countries. Should be interesting how long mine takes.

That does not appear to be the case.
Spouse and kids (all GE members) all applied for NEXUS same date and all got conditional approval 10.5 weeks (on the same date). My kids are elementary school age so it's not like there's much background to check against.
Years ago when kids were applying for GE (one was an infant and the other a toddler), it took three weeks for conditional approval which was similar processing time for an adult GE applicant. Both kids were born in US.
Seems to me lowest risk applicants still take the same amount of time as adult.

Update: Managed to snag a spot at YYZ for the same day after checking it randomly. I'm seeing spots opening up sporadically too.
