Keep checking compulsively! spots open up all the time. Wouldn't be surprised if there's an opening at YYZ for this weekend

Interview: YVR on Oct 1 (both) since that's our next trip to Vancouver (could be earlier if we were there now)

Lots of availability in August for YVR, Vancouver Main St and Blaine. We're going to make sure we're also set up for Global Entry so we can use it for international trips.
Since this site has a wealth of information, I'm reaching out to figure out how the NEXUS application system works. We need back to back appointments for 2 people and booked them for Oct 1 at YVR. When I check the system days later, both our appointment slots are still available. Does this mean more than 1 person can book the same appointment? Should we both book for the exact same time on the same day, or two appointments next to each other on the same day?

Yes. Some locations can handle more than one applicant per time slot.

As seawolf had mentioned, some locations have multiple openings for the same time slot. As long as you are allowed to make two appointments for the same time slot, why not. You may be able to find a time slot sooner than 1 Oct 2016. At YVR, there are two locations; one at YVR another at 1611 Main Street.

Good luck and let us know your result.

As long as you have 2 appointments on the same day, my in-laws experience was that they get processed concurrently even if the second person is extremely early for their appointment.

Well Tomy Luke above applied on June 9th and was approved on Aug 16th. 67 days. I am at 66 days today. Too late for the 2 trips I just took in the last week. But I hope to get an interview before early Oct. for my next trip. Lately seems to be about 70 days

Depending on where you are scheduling your interview you may need to buffer for more time. YYZ is backed up for 4 weeks.
