No. Each applicant can interview at a different time/location.

Wife and I and 5 kids applied June 14 and 15
Conditionally Approved Aug 21/22

Appt Nov 8th in Derby, VT. Plenty of availability before then, but with school starting wanted a day when they had a day off (Election day). Got all 7 scheduled in the morning, will be home in plenty of time to vote.

Plus don't need it before then, I personally already have GE and UK registered Traveler and the rest of the family don't travel much except a couple of times / year driving to PEI to visit relatives.

Update:

Applied: May 25th
Conditional approval: Aug 8th (almost 11 weeks)
Interview: Aug 13th (At YYZ), approved on the spot before I left the building
Card received: Aug 22nd

Entire process, almost 3 months. Glad I can take this card on my upcoming trip via US

More data:

May 20 -- Mailed App (via physical mail)
June 6 [+17 days] -- Credit Card Charged
July 6 [+47 days] -- Called CATSA, confirmed Canadians were done with processing; received PASSID
August 14 [+86 days] -- Preliminary Approval
August 22 [+94 days] -- Interviewed in Seattle (lucked out); NEXUS approved while in parking lot

First flight is on the 31st of this month, so hoping the card will come soon.
Was told that my KTN (Known Traveler Number) can already be inserted into online reservations, and that I can use GE lanes (since NEXUS card not required).

I interviewed on 8/10, received the final approval e-mail later that day and my card came on 8/15.

Family member: applied on June 18, approved this morning.

WIDE open availability at Fort Erie (didn't check other options). Wow. Scheduled for September 16.

Curious if people have been receiving email approvals throughout the day or only in the evening. Still holding out on my wife's approval before Thursday.

When rescheduling appointments, can we just state "better timing" in the reasons box?
As well, what type of questions are asked at the interview?
