Here's that number (I think), in case anybody is looking: (877) 227-5511

I am at day +103, applied for renewal on 5/15, expiration in October.

I asked a CBP officer in his office at SEA yesterday if he knew anything. He said, "expect a five month or longer delay."

I applied for renewal on Jun 3, 2019 (~2 months before my GE expires).

Based on this forum’s posts, my GE should be good for 6 months (or 1 year, according to a later forum post) beyond the expiry date.

However, when I went through the GE kiosk this weekend, the screen stated that my GE expires in 22 days.

Hopefully, I’d get conditional approval before the 22 days are up.

I think technically your GE does “expire” but the benefits will be extended while they are processing your renewal application. Probably easier to build in the extension than reset to a new expiration date. In the meantime, based on the posts here, I wouldn’t hold out much hope you’ll get approval in the next 22 days. The trend seems to be either fairly immediate approval which you didn’t get or you get put in the 100+ day pending review wait. We’re at 93 days with no idea when we’ll get unstuck. Luckily we applied for renewal well ahead of our February/March 2020 expiration dates.

Last week I used GE on the expiration date and got the message that it expires in 0 days. Waiting to see what happens in few weeks if my renewal isn't processed by the time of my next trip.

My expiry was in July and when I entered at the start of August it told me that my membership expires in -27 days. It then continued as normal so the benefits applied thanks to my waiting renewal but I was a bit worried when it popped up the message.

Good to know.

My GE was already expired when I used the kiosk last Saturday (8/24). So, that “expires in 22 days” message on the screen made no sense to me.

Oh, wait. It does make sense ... “expires in -22 days”.

Ok. The expiry date extension does work!!!

Looks like the “expires in -22 days” is the system’s method of tracking continuing GE benefits while under renewal review. I’d guess if the reverse countdown gets to -180 days (maybe -365 days if the extended period is correct) then there’s a real problem.

How would a kiosk respond when a membership is no longer valid? I assume they don't have a sad trombone sound clip.

That's what I am wondering. Does it print a receipt with a "X" or does the kiosk tell you to get in another line?

My wife’s and my renewal apps are both pending. We both applied on 5/24. Hers expired this past July, mine will expire next April. It’s now been over 3 months since our application, at what point should we try to contact them?

From the timeline thread, approvals for applications like yours submitted around 5/1 are coming just now. Expect to hear in another 3-4 weeks. Meanwhile, all program benefits will continue for up to one year after expiration since your renewal is in progress.

If your membership has expired, the kiosk tells you so on the screen. You get n:( slip of paper and no sad trombone sound.

Either you'll get your new card in about a week or you'll still be waiting 5 months from now. If yo don't get it soon, you can print out your TTP website dashboard showing it is pending review and keep it with your passport for re-entry at the kiosks, although you may have to visit a CBP officer at the desk that is usually in the same area IF your passport won't scan. Good luck.
