Potentially dumb question, does your Known Traveler Number change when you renew?

Unfortunately, it just keeps getting longer... I am at 109 and still pending.. I fully expect to pass the 112 just posted, lol. |
Update from my original post: I applied 4/15 and had my renewal card in hand in 2 weeks. Never received any emails. Had trouble with Mr.'s payment going through initially and reapplied on 4/18. I expire October. His is Feb 2020.
Called initially on 7/19 "too soon." Called on 7/30 using numbers in previous post. Held 15 minutes. Escalated. Received initial email within 5 minutes of hanging up. Approximately 90 minutes later received 2nd email with "our response" and "if this issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may reopen it within the next 7 days." However, it was an informational email with no resolution. On 8/6 email received re: status change. Conditional approval. Schedule interview before 8/5/2020. Live 1 hour from PIT. Today had errands nearby. Mr. walked in while I waited in cell phone lot. Apparently several interview no shows as they called names and no one was there. Taken in. Was told no interview was necessary (despite account saying so) and that there was nothing that he could do for hubby but since he was there he was fingerprinted and new photo taken. Hubby said that if they weren't able to help our next plan was to see if he could do EoA at JFK a week from Friday. He was told "I don't think they are doing that anymore." Hubby then said it was odd that I was approved quickly and he wasn't since identical histories. Response: "You're a guy." Entire process, including being held up in rolling stop at the airport for the President, was 30 minutes. I am not sure if this counts as the interview??? I do want to mention a couple of points that may be helpful that were in the 2nd email: If you submit a renewal application before April 17, 2019 (before your current membership expires) you can continue to use your benefits (up to 6 months past the expiration date) until the renewal is finalized. We recommend you print out a copy of your TTP Dashboard showing that the renewal is pending to show a CBP Officer, if requested. If you submit a renewal application on or after April 17, 2019 (before your current membership expires) or if you are current in the 6 month grace period, then you can continue to use your benefits (up to 1 year past the expiration date) until the renewal is finalized. We recommend you print out a copy of your TTP Dashboard showing that the renewal is pending to show a CBP Officer, if requested. A follow-up interview may be required upon renewal. This is determined by the vetting center and the determination cannot be appealed. Not the end of the world. Just one of those annoying things that we just can't seem to get off the to-do list. |

I received an email that says that they have extended the time to use expired GE to 12 months IF you reapplied after April 17 this year.

Re-applied early April, conditional approval came through today. No appointments available for LAX, am hoping to EoA. |

Day 110 of waiting for me today. I knew I had a bad feeling about this.

$100 charge hit my card on 4/22 and still waiting as of today (went through GE kiosk though with no issues this morning). 109 days and counting... And the one time I did call, the menus kept hanging up on me. I just gave up. If it still is lingering around my 1/2 birthday, I’ll just get TSA Pre with my other credit card that pays for GE for free. update: got approved 8 hours after I posted the line above. no interview required |
Hello All - can anyone provide visibility into how many days it may take for the renewed GE card to arrive in the mail? I was approved early this month but haven't received the updated card. Thanks.

Bizarrely enough I received an email telling me to renew my GE but my GE does not expire for another ten months. Is it normal to renew 12 mo this in advance?
In reading this thread (although only the last few pages) or seems to me that except for one lucky soul who is at 110 days and counting this should only take a couple of months from renewal and if there is a hold up there is a six month grace period. I hate to apply too early for the renewal - reminds me of having to apply for a passport so it has more than six months validity even though you paid for ten years (for the passport) and for GE for five years. Just trying to get an idea of the right timing to apply for the renewal. TIA |

Another data point: reapplied in late April, just got approval today.

Renewal is still pending over 100 days
Hello,
I submitted a renewal on May 1st and my application is still pending which is now more than 100 days. I emailed GE last week with no response yet. I cannot find a valid phone number. Does it take usually that long for renewal? The good thing that my membership expires in January which gives me 5 more months to use TSA precheck. |
