applied for 2nd renewal about 6 months after expiration on 11/3/2025
approved on 4/12/2026

4/30/26 - Applied for 2nd renewal
5/1/26 - Approved for 2nd renewal (no conditional approval, no interview)

Several weeks ago my renewal was Conditionally Approved, requiring an interview. I made one for the end of this month. Today, I received a Notice of Final Approval with a 2031 expiration date (same KTN), application closed.
Don't recall hearing of activity prior to interview before? Assuming an employee reviews "random" interview cases to determine if there's likely any point to it.

I think there may have been some "burps" during the partial shutdown. Both in this household applied for renewal mid-January. One approved almost immediately. Mine - pending until this evening. Renewed. I suppose there was something on the app that triggered someone's eyes to look at it.

There have been quite a few such approvals since the pandemic.

My wife and I renewed last week. I did mine on Friday, and received approval on Tuesday. My wife did her renewal on Sunday and received her approval on Wednesday. Both are physical cards arrived yesterday.
