@#$@$@#$$#. The letter online says I should schedule when I return from an upcoming international trip. I checked the box saying I have an intl trip scheduled in the next six months when I applied for renewal. I'm guessing this triggered me having to interview. I won't advise anyone to lie on a federal form, but I can only imagine if I had checked NO that I would have had a different result. On my dashboard there is no virtual option that I can find either, no appointments anywhere near me, and interview on arrival appears to be available at LAX but the LAX office is closed when I arrive.

Grrrrr....

I submitted my renewal application on 9/14.
It was approved on 9/18, and no interview needed.
Now I'm good to go until 2027. :D

New Card Sent After Approval?

Ms. 747FC applied for renewal two days ago, and this morning, up popped her approval notice! Very impressive turnaround time, especially because some of the countries she has visited. :)

Should she be expecting a new card to be automatically sent with the new expiration date? She has a little over a year left before her previous expiration date arrives.

Many thanks!

Yes.... I got my new card about a week to 2 weeks after the approval email. BTW...both my husband and I did not need interviews and this was our second renewal.

So, just got the attached email (attached pdf).... Maybe people who are traveling soon are being used to test interview on arrival.Dear Global Entry Applicant,

Instead of scheduling an appointment at a Global Entry Enrollment Center, you have the unique opportunity to interview for Global Entry when you return from your next international trip.

What is Enrollment on Arrival? Global Entry applicants who are conditionally-approved can complete their interviews, the last step of the Global Entry process, while they are clearing through United States Customs and Border Protection or Pre-Clearance.

Enrollment on Arrival (EoA) is ONLY available at participating international airports in the United States and select Pre-Clearance locations and is NOT available on domestic connections.

Enrollment on Arrival has been available for longer than five years. We have a thread on that subject. Please discuss EoA there.Thank you,

Conditional approval finally

I applied for renewal in Feb and just got conditional approval. The locations listed through end of this year are all at the border. I am in Chicago, closest to me is in Northern Michigan up near Canada! So weird how random it is. I too teceived the email about scheduling on my next International trip. Guess I will have to book one so I can get an appointment!

I lost my card. Don’t have the number. How do I apply for renewal.

RandomNobody Oct 3, 2022 10:26 am

I'm at the 6 month mark on renewal, still in "Pending"

Renewed: March 31, 2022
Today: Oct 3, 2022
Still pending.

I just renewed my driver's license with Real ID. USPS suggests my card might show up in my mailbox today. Hoping updating my docs will "unstick" things.

Yes, there seems to be a great discrepancy of people waiting for months or being immediately approved. You said the spring time, any specific month that you like to share. We’re hearing six months or more. I have reapplied first week of June, since then crickets

Has anyone contacted their US congressional Senator or Representative regarding Trusted Traveler application delays? IMHO this has gone well beyond the stock "things are a little busy" and is really stretching credulity.

That’s a good thought but with your status being extended until your credentials are re-approved, you really don’t have a loss. For new applications I can understand the situation but it’s in this thread about renewals

I am not sure what you mean by the statement that your status is extended. My Global and TSA expired during COVID without my knowing it. I cannot use either until (after three months) they are renewed.

Is there something I can o to extend it during the waiting time?

RandomNobody Oct 5, 2022 1:09 am

If you applied for renewal before your previous period had expired, TSA automatically extends/applies a grace period beyond your original expiration. If you let it expire before renewal, there is no grace period and you've lost GE privileges.
