whenever i try "find flights using this fare" from sabre fares/dotres i get a message at the top of the ita screen saying "We found the following problem in the information you entered:

New problem when using Awards/AC-StarAlliance.

What are your search parameters?

I've tried a few:

LAX-HKG July 18, 2011, 1 seat
LAX-YVR July 18, 2011, 1 seat
YVR-YYZ July 18, 2011, 1 seat

Also same cities on July 30. I'm on 6.2.0.R2. It was working yesterday for these same searches....

Edit: Random. On a whim I closed and reopened KVS and the error went away.... Any possibility that there is something cached in the tool that times out (I tend to just keep KVS open)?

Sounds like the infamous AE Cookies issue -- if it ever happens again, try deleting MSIE Cookies (via Tools -> Internet Options).

KVS Tool retrieves all data in real-time and does not use caching.

I'm a fresher in the air fare searching and KVS using.

No idea about many many items...e.g. what do those fares mean?

Can someone tell me how to search for AM awards seats? Every city pair I put in says no results. I have diamond level and am on the award tab using Amadeus.

Yes (+ Surcharges & Taxes).

In general, yes. However (and I might be wrong on this), I think the fares shown are the base fare only, so taxes, fees, and fuel surcharges are in addition to the fare listed.
