If one wanted information on consolidator fares on airlines flying between a city pair, would that information be available with the KVS availability tool?

No, consolidator fares are confidential and are only available through the respective consolidators.

Comments?

AC had "simplified" its NA fare structure so much that they now have over 20 booking classes, which is the max. that the Apollo method can show.

I class is also shown, when intra-NA segments are combined with intl segments, e.g.:

Any chance of a workaround in the app instead of aving to find ways to make connections to determine I?

As is the case with all other booking classes, which are not a part of the standard availability display, you need to use the [Galileo: ETR] Method and specify the required class.

How about a special mode that pulls I explicitly from Galileo and merges into Apollo or similar?

This sounds like something the KVS tool should be able to code a workaround for. I have been told that with another tool ""I" inventory is viewable with all other revenue inventory but may be filtered so only it is viewable either before the query or after the results are displayed." That sounds like a better solution ... having to go to use two different interfaces is not a happy solution IMHO.

I am not quite sure what is the relevance of the filtering functionality to the present issue -- KVS Tool also has a powerful filter option, and you can filter to any specific class(es), as long as those class(es) are a part of the standard availability display set (which is limited to 20).

Unfortunately, the said limit is imposed by the underlying engine and I have no control over it.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, it is currently not possible to merge data from multiple methods, due to technical and operational constraints.

Since ExpertFlyer is "the other tool" to which you refer, I'll chime in here for clarification.

Actually, ExpertFlyer can show up to 26 classes at one time if they exist and are not a "hidden" class for an AC (or any airline) flight all on one response screen since we directly access the GDSs and do not edit the results. The screen shot example on our website shows 20 classes because that is what was returned for that particular example. ExpertFlyer still shows I class for AC along with all the other fare, non-hidden classes. For example:

AC 759
0 YYZ
10/28/07 8:50 PM SFO
10/28/07 11:25 PM 320
Daily
65% / 20m J9 C9 Z9 Y9 M9 U9 B9 H9 V7 Q4 L0 A0 S1 R9 K9 N7 G4 P0 E0 T1 I9

After viewing these results, the user has the option of further filtering the results viewable, without doing another query, to any subset of the classes originally displayed.

AC D and W hidden classes are also viewable but as a separate query where those classes, either or both at the same time, are specified in the query.

Thank you,
EFV
