Question on complications on the Modular Ultra face..

The middle complication is fantastic. How do the smaller complications work? Does that complication change dynamically based on the current status?

Is there any link that goes in detail the latest version?

Yes you are correct. All complications including the small one function the same, that is to say they automatically change throughout travel day to show you what’s most important. They all have the same states. The only difference is size.

Awesome.. can't wait to try it later this week.

Apple Watch regression
 

I’d like to report that a recent update appears to have introduced a regression in the Apple Watch. The bug I reported earlier regarding the Lock Screen widget only showing my flights and not my friends’ flights has now spread to the Apple Watch complication.

On that note, is there any update regarding this?

UPDATE: 30 minutes after I wrote this, the watch complication updated to display my friends’ flight about to depart. Meanwhile, my iPhone Lock Screen widget never updated. It’s still bugged.

Also, love the new radar layer on the map. Very useful.

Had an issue with Flighty about a month ago when trying to leverage the Mac application along with my iPhone app.

I've had a subscription with my Apple ID and have been using the app on my iPhone extensively. I learned there was a Mac app, so I downloaded it. The app basically created a new Flighty user ID on the Mac, and I couldn't use iCloud to sync my flights from my iPhone to my Mac.

Flighty support helped merge their two Flighty user ID's together, and I was able to get my flights and historical information synced between the accounts. Alas, my ability to forward flight confirmations and have those add to my list of upcoming flights has gone away. I've been working with support since mid-October and haven't gotten any resolution whatsoever. Albeit yes, I can manually add flights as I go. However, it is frustrating to not be able to use one of the convenient features of this app as I book travel into the future.

I have also had issues after asking support to merge my accounts. On all of my past flights, I have a “friend” (spoiler alert: it’s me from my previous account) attached to all of my bookings, with the seat number data associated with that other profile.

Hmm, sorry about this, your emails should have all moved to the merged account. Please reply to the existing support chain, with a list of all email addresses you may have registered with Flighty.

We'll have to investigate further. Since it's just past flights, I sadly don't have a workaround for you at the moment.

Circling back here to say that I am not super happy with Flighty at the moment, and that's a feeling that I've had building up for quite a bit. There are a few things that go into this:
When it works, it's fantastic, however there are airlines that it simply just doesn't do well with (DLH is one example), and if you fly those, you will be disappointed continuously.
The app has bugs that I've raised with Support and no solution has come from it for many months. Some of those bugs make the app completely unusable for certain trips.
Last but not least - Support simply doesn't answer about half the time. Not receiving any answer whatsoever after sending in screenshots and describing the issue is frustrating.
Overall, I'd give it a 3 out of 5 due to the number of frustrations I have. The interface is great, new features are being added, but there are quite a few bugs, and it's often unreliable.

I also did a weekly subscription for 6 AF/KL flights I was going to be on. The tail was updated only few minutes before departure, even though FR24 was already showing it since the day before. I submitted several reports with screenshots, never heard back. Also, information was not very timely at CDG and AMS.

I did notice that the latest app update caused my home screen widgets to go away. Is this a known issue to others or just one I have?

Thanks for the honest feedback. Please reply to any support emails that you felt were inadequately handled, and ask for me and reference your username here, so I can tie things together. If those threads do not already have specific detail that explain "bugs that make the app completely unusable for certain trips" please add that too.

As I have said above, I agree we have work to do with some Europeans carriers – the closed Eurocontrol data, and sheer quantity of carriers, and non-uniform information takes much longer to improve.

On behalf of support, I'll see specifically when you reply, but in general we can't always give you a full-blown satisfactory reason and resolution for each issue, since we don't control the airline/airports data, sometimes it's not in our control and we can only say as much as we can.

Regardless, I apologize, and once I see the email threads I can better coach support and make sure the specific issue is known.

We agree FR24 is exceptional at European tails. But to be fair – they don't have cancellation, delay, or gate alerts. Or following friends, calendar sync, email import, real flight plans, looking up flights in advance, or offline mode.

Ack! We added a TON of stats in the last update and we must have inadvertently affected this. I can likely have it fixed for you within a few days. Thanks for calling it out! You can change the widget to Lifetime Hours or similar as a workaround for now, those work.

thats sounds amazing. Can you give a timeline for the better support for European carriers? Is it for this year, next year or sometime in the future?

Than I have another question. In Autumn there was the aircraft type noted in the updates. Now there is no more info about aircraft type in the updates. Did you cancel it? I like it because I could change my seat at first if a airplane change has happened.
