Sadly, the newest version of Flighty seems to have rendered the Apple Watch complications useless. After repeatedly uninstalling and reinstalling the Flighty app from the Apple Watch, the complication fails to display the friend's flight, which is the next one coming up, displaying only my next flight. Also, it will only update once or twice and then never again. My countdown for the next flight simply got stuck and never updated again. Rebooting alone does nothing.

Also, I still am suffering from the bug where the lock screen widget only shows my next flights on my iPhone.

In both cases, I have confirmed the settings to display the friends' flights on the complications and lock screen widgets are enabled. No dice. It would be nice to see this get fixed, or at least the problem acknowledged, and an idea of what could be going wrong.

Pretty much every stat you asked for was added a few days after this post in v3.3 :) and they are not going away. And you can now also see if you've been on that exact tail before in a flight! And your most repeated tails in stats :) Good feedback on the extra asks too.

THIS! Most people don't realize that other apps don't show all live statuses *in Search* in such browsable way.

Smaller airlines often don't file plans correctly or at all with authorities. Apps that are mostly just ADSB can still find the flight *once it's active* (just like we can, but it *looks* like they are failing at less, because they show less).

I can explain exactly why forcibly adding flights hasn't been done yet! 1. Every single user currently operates off the same flight database "truth". 2. Thus to allow each user to enter *their own truth* that doesn't get added for everyone is a BIG infra change. We will do it, but that should solve the puzzle. :)

I'm not familiar with the email issue you're talking about, can you email support a) from inside the app b) with a list of any/all email addresses that you have previously registered. We can check them.

I love y'all. :) For real. Keeping us honest! "Closed" airports are non-trivial but we have support, and review them quarterly, and if you just tell us via support email we'll reply when it's done, removing the "brick wall" ;)

You are exactly right! And currently it is not editable. I'll bring it up with the team. We didn't expect the Passport feature to go so viral!

I think you've emailed support? I recognize the phrases. I honestly do not know what's going on, and 99% of Apple Watch and Widget issues are solved with reinstalling and rebooting, plus it has extremely extremely limited troubleshooting abilities. For example, *Apple* limits when we update those things. Not us.

So we tend to reply with "reinstall everything and reboot everything" and that works like 99%. It does sound like potentially something is wacky with *your* account in relation to friends – if it's not working in both places and getting stuck. I have never heard that before.

To be honest... we can go spelunking on it, but this sounds so specific and so rare and Watch/Widget are so Apple controlled that it'll probably be fastest for you to: Remove each Flighty Friend, such that are back to zero. Delete every Flighty app everywhere. Reboot everything device. Reinstall Flighty on iPhone and add your friends back. Reinstall Flighty on Watch. Basically that gives Watch and Widget a clean install.

Yes, we have spoken about it. Apple has acknowledged an iCloud issue on my account too and my account is pending a reset by Apple themselves. It's possible this could fix it. I'm a software engineer myself, so maybe I can help poke around? (Though, my experience with iOS/watchOS apps is limited). I'd be entirely willing to go fully exploring the issue at hand, but as far as complications go on the watch, it's only the Flighty complication that refuses to update after the initial update. It's worth noting the complication worked flawlessly with the initial Apple Watch release of Flighty.

As for reinstalling, I've literally done exactly what you just described. I have a bunch of Flighty friends, so I'm not to keen on dropping all of them yet. The iPhone home screen widget works as expected, as do the lock screen and home screen widgets on the iPad, as do the desktop widgets on macOS. It's strange that the iPhone lock screen widget would be broken when the other widget works. I'm wondering if it could be specific to an iPhone model.

Is it possible to reset the Flighty Passport issue location? Mine is set to a city I'm not particularly fond of.

Is there any way to import previous flights from flightmemory/flightradar into Flighty?

If you are able to export flights from the other system and import them into your calendar then you can set Flighty to import them automatically from there. There may be better options but this has worked for me.

Does reporting missing flights in the app due anything? I have a Ryanair flight from 2019 and a WOW flight from 2017 that can’t be found by flight number or route to add to my historical stats. (Interestingly the outbound of the wow flight automatically imported). The Ryanair flight was from SXF so I wonder if that’s a reason

Also, is there a way to stop Flighty from duplicating calendar entries? If it imports a flight from my calendar it then goes on to add the exact same flight again to the same calendar in the flighty format

I have the same issue, they said that they will inform me when they implement the manually adding feature (for the flights do not exist in their database).

Reporting a missing flight shows us trends about what to focus on. The screen says that, I believe. And we are aware of and plan to add "manually adding flights".

It sounds like you want to leave Calendar Import ON, and turn Calendar Export OFF? Try that. They are distinct settings for this exact use.

I have some flights that I automatically add to my calendar from mail parsing and others that dont get picked up. It would be helpful for the flights that didnt get automatically picked up by my mail client and were automatically added to be the only ones that are then exported to my calendar

I’ve just tried to load 6 emails with e-ticket receipts from BA into flighty. Half were not able to be loaded. The fail email said not enough info in the email?! :(

I'm not stalking you, honest! I am also subscribed to this thread.

I tend to use the BA 'Add to calendar' function and then Flighty picks up the flights automatically from my calendar entries. Actually, I add all flights from all airlines into my calendar and then all my flights appear in Flighty. I've not had a problem using this approach but it can take a few minutes to a few hours for Flighty to parse the calendar. I'm not sure if there's a way to force that.

The problem with calendar is that flights go in, but then don’t get changed/updated, so i end up with multiple / wrong entries cluttering up an already busy diary. I might try to go via trip it, which was usually pretty good at the import - but would be good if BA e-ticket emails worked (as they have all the details). Also,, flighty has no concept of PNR? Shouldn’t be difficult to add this field and allow grouping by it? Feature Request :)
