All my BA emails have loaded into Flighty without any issue. I am using Tripit and Flighty but I dont need Tripit to make Flighty work - it works fine by itself!

I may be a moderator on the BA forum but am posting as FT forum member who joined in 2008 - you will see my point of view on many forums outside of BA and as someone who loves Flighty. In fact - I mentioned it today as I potted around the US how much I absolutely love the app. No cheerleading - just honest enjoyment - and no free subscriptions. My moderator pay is quite enough thank you.

I must admit, I have been using Flighty for a while now and absolutely love it. It gives me the information I want, in a timely manner and allows me to plan my journey as I would wish. I have 56 flights locked and loaded and actually don't experience the double calendar thing at all as I just forward the flight to flighty when I send them to Tripit. I have used many apps over my travelling time, and Flighty has to be one of the best. As you say - each to their own.

TY. 🙏 Super glad you love it! And excited for our plans this year.

What a CR@P piece of software!!! DO NOT SUBSCRIBE. Use TripIt or any of about 4 other tools that can do what this software can’t do. DM me for further info if needed.

I hope to clear some things up:
1. Widgets work. Restart.
2. PNR works. It’s ingested automatically, displays in the check in alert, live activities, Dynamic Island, and calendar export. Currently we do not group by trip or PNR, if that’s what you meant instead.
3. TripIt blocks your API access. Not us.
4. The vast majority of BA emails work. Vast majority. If you email support or DM me your email and give me permission to search for your forwarded emails I can check.

I love this app too. Widgets work fine too, barring a minor issue with one of my Lock Screen widgets. I would rather do Flighty than any other flight tracking app. Absolutely not a piece of CR@P software. From a lifetime subscriber, that I paid for.

I have to disagree and think this is unfair. There are bugs, there are data errors (so far only very rarely, for me) and there are things that don't work the way I'd like, but Flighty is definitely a welcome and valuable addition to my toolkit. And I'm saying that as someone who now travels more outside the USA than to, from or within it.

I don't use TripIt or the iOS calendar, but I can't imagine that makes me a total outlier.

[Full discosure: I have not received any discounts or special treatment from Flighty (roughly half my questions here have been ignored) and do not have a moderator's stipend to spend on apps. ;) ]

Ryan, can you address my issue with Flighty being unable to import PNRs from United? Is this a known issue or am I likely doing something wrong?

I use the Google Calendar sync which is able to pull out the confirmation number from the source email. Does it only work when I forward the email to Flighty?

Far be it for me to speak for them but I think they suggested above that you're better contacting their support team through more conventional methods than writing here if you want a response in the short term.

For the avoidance of doubt, I'm not paid either! The only transfer of funds was one-way when I purchased a lifetime membership a while ago.

I tried to add some domestic flights in Colombia on clic but could not. What’s the workaround for these cases?

It would certainly be a welcome feature.

I tried entering some past flights and only got back a couple of years before I ran up against a brick wall: BA flights to/from the former TXL airport weren't found. Not really obscure.

I love y'all. :) For real. Keeping us honest! "Closed" airports are non-trivial but we have support, and review them quarterly, and if you just tell us via support email we'll reply when it's done, removing the "brick wall" ;)

Sorry for picking up the old messages. Is there also a way to add old airberlin flights to the history? As well I can’t find Germanwings, historic easyJet and Ryanair flights. But I don’t want to add 100 flights manually to send each flight to the support. Is there an easier way to contact the support?

I had what appears to be a false alarm this morning: a cancellation message for a flight that doesn't appear to have been cancelled or changed by the airline. WestJet's MMB and ExpertFlyer both still show the flight (WS 627 on 06.06.).

I'm posting this here to ask whether this is something others have encountered. It's certainly not something I want to happen often. I've reported it to Flighty via the app.

I’ve had bad data too. A few hours before my FCO-YYZ flight, I see that the aircraft heading to FCO has turned around and started flying back to departure airport. An hour later, it showed the plane flying the normal path again.

The app is glitchy.

Now this is interesting / impressive / weird. Three days ago I wrote:

Today WestJet has sent me an email saying the flight has been cancelled.

I didn't go as far as making a dummy booking when the Flighty alert came. I checked my booking on the airline website and I searched EF for WS flights on my route and day of travel. Everything appeared fine, so I posted here.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what's likely to have been going on behind the scenes? Is Flighty even better than I thought?

I’ve noticed that too. Flighty tends to report a cancellation well before Thai Airways does. I thought it was a glitch, that would correct itself since the booking remained unchanged, but the next day I was told my flights were rebooked onto a different time, by the airlines to consolidate the flights.

That's just a dumb visual bug. No data is changing. Regardless it'll be fixed in the next version. It's a weird thing we found if certain offline + date change states happen at the same time the mini-plane icon really really wants to fly back to the origin! Sorry.

Seems a liiiiittle extreme for a non-core issue that resolved itself in an hour. But hey, I sympathize with developers and it's important for me to remember that users don't care and shouldn't!

I can't share the secret sauce, but we got *extremely good* at detecting far-future cancellation and sending alerts during COVID. 😎 We should advertise it more... 🤔

We are very very often 1-3 days before anything else. But you're right, it does create skepticism when everywhere else denies it, even the airline sometimes! Searching ITA Matrix is the only thing I've found that sometimes confirms it.

Bump! What is the app’s formal response on this? We won’t do anything? It’s okay if you have incomplete data in your logs?

I really do not understand why flights cannot be added (even let’s say past flight for archival purposes) if they can be confirmed.
