Seat Maps: we're currently not able to show seat maps for flights departing within the next 24 hours for several airlines: DL, BA, QR , ANA, B6, & JL
Searches currently not working:
  • Upgrades - AY, BA, EK, EY, IB, QR, VS
  • Awards - AY, BA, IB, EY, QR, VS

To search AA upgrades:
  • Use the Award & Upgrade tool
  • Only search for individual segments (set the "Connection Preference" drop-down to "Direct/Non-Stop only"). Flight results that are part of a connection won't show the upgrade version of C or A inventory because AA only files upgrade inventory as individual, not married, segments. (Married segments show revenue inventory instead of upgrade inventory.)
  • To avoid confusion, check the "Exclude Codeshares" box, as AA awards and upgrades are not valid on codeshares.

Update:
  • Our QF seat maps work is 95% complete.
    • As mentioned in the thread, we are still showing some seats that do not exist, but the block vs occupied issue and FF number status recognition are now resolved. We expect for this to be resolved by EOD.
  • Separately, we are investigating the 500 internal server error and will provide an update once we know more.

The information blurb states "JAL may show Occupied seats as Blocked on domestic Japan flights," but this is an international flight.

Additionally, I believe the accurate wording would be "JAL may show Blocked seats as Occupied on domestic Japan flights."

My guess is that one of the seats may be blocked, but is showing as occupied on the international flight (JL Flight 9)
I am also seeing this. Blocked seats in JAL F showing as occupied. I see it on JL1 (773), 8 seats in cabin. Availability F7 but 3 seats shown as occupied. 1A and 1K are typically blocked and they show as occupied. EF Voice, any update on this?

Blocked vs. Occupied for BA flights

Hi,
The 'block vs. occupied" issue is affecting BA flights.
Is this something that can be investigated please?

Thanks Bastien003. This is a known issue we're working to resolve with our data providers. No ETA yet, but we'll update when we have news.

Thanks. Since Voice went dark on me on this issue and I dont see any readily available alternative, I have to accept that this is gone on an iPad. Which is sad.

I still get plenty of utility from EF and will keep my subscription, but this doesnt seem like that difficult a gap to close.

I keep getting internal service error anytime I go to the website on my computer. It only works when using data on my phone. Ive lost a week of service I have needed...this is so frustrating.

have you tried Incognito mode or a different browser? I only get the error in Chrome

It works fine for me on Chrome and also in Incognito mode on Safari.

Apologies for repeating myself, but it’s quite disappointing not to have access to IB’s seat map on the day of departure. There appeared to be ample availability in the exit row, which would have been valuable to know in advance.
Unfortunately, IB’s seat map did not show and their own agents wouldn’t say free seats existed.
But perhaps that is the crux of it?

Is the blocking issue common to all airlines or specific to each one? Specifically is the work you are doing going to fix the JAL blocked seats showing as occupied or just BA?
