Seat Maps: we're currently not able to show seat maps for flights departing within the next 24 hours for several airlines: DL, BA, QR , ANA, B6, & JL
Searches currently not working:
- Upgrades - AY, BA, EK, EY, IB, QR, VS
- Awards - AY, BA, IB, EY, QR, VS
To search AA upgrades:
- Use the Award & Upgrade tool
- Only search for individual segments (set the "Connection Preference" drop-down to "Direct/Non-Stop only"). Flight results that are part of a connection won't show the upgrade version of C or A inventory because AA only files upgrade inventory as individual, not married, segments. (Married segments show revenue inventory instead of upgrade inventory.)
- To avoid confusion, check the "Exclude Codeshares" box, as AA awards and upgrades are not valid on codeshares.

Haven't read all the recent posts, but some other observations:
- On Awards/Flight Availability/Fare Information/etc., when entering the Departing/Arriving airports using 3-letter IATA code, I have to press Tab key multiple times to go from Departing to Arriving airport. In previous version, this only required one Tab keystroke.
- When I use the View Seat Map link from the Flight Availability Results page, the default Display Preference is to Show tabbed results by class, rather than on 1 screen (which I prefer) like in previous interface.

Yeah I came across that bug with the calendar... where you can't go backwards to a previous month if you do a search and then go to 'refine'. It doesn't let you select any months prior to the one you just selected... so if you pick a return flight say in April next year and go to 'refine search' you can't select Feb or March... you have to start over from scratch.

Update:
- QF Frequent Flyer numbers are now recognized in seat map searches. You should now see available seats based on your status. Note: we are seeing some seats that are showing as available, that should be blocked. We are investigating this.
- We are finalizing a bug where we should incomplete results for Award & Upgrades. This only appeared if a particular route had more than one page of results.
- Similarly, we are kicking off work to improve the keyboard navigation flow.

When saved searches are invoked, results are not reflecting status. This is for both previously saved seat match queries and new saves.
Also, result are still not differentiating between blocked and allocated seating, showing either as allocated.

Thanks for flagging. Can you please share the details of the flight you're searching for via DM or email to [email protected]? That will help us debug
Hope it helps and I do hope the differentiating between blocked/occupied will come back as a feature

EF:
Which of these issues are planned to be fixed?
1). Fare display doesn’t allow for sorting by carrier.
2). Fare rules not displaying where multiple fare basis exist
3) font size is too small.
4). Fare rules and routing details no longer show the routing region (eg, VIA ATLANTIC/PACIFIC).
5). TK flight inventory provided

I do note that differentiation between blocked and allocated seating for those cabins seem to have returned.

I'm jumping in to agree with both WannaTheater and some dude
In my career as a consulting software professional, I have had to take on the support and redesign of 3 or 4 large online application. They all were in similar situations as what the current support team is working with: obsolete technology, lack of documentation (or, even worse, misleading documentation), badly written code, poorly maintained code, etc. Unless you have done it, you have no idea what hard work it is. Personally I saw several improvement with the last update. But it is obvious this was the first of at least 2 or 3 update cycles that will be required to straighten out the product. And that does not include any thought by the current support team as to their desired end state product.
As some dude said, I am not affiliated with EF in any way, outside of being a subscriber. All I am trying to do is to bring out what I feel is the reality of the current situation. The recent update did not fix many major bugs in the product. And if anyone finds it unacceptable, they need to find another product that satisfies their requirements. Or cancel their subscription. As consumers, this is the only leverage we have.

But I also have experience with the approach of dont touch the legacy code if its robust, and instead find ways to interface to it and test the resultant behaviours - especially if dependability, cost and time are driving factors more than say new features.
So what new features drove this heavy re-work and all the inevitable disruption?

Sometimes you need to temporarily step back to move forward.
